Mickey Ward gets a movie. I haven't seen it yet but it got good reviews, so what boxer's life career would make a good movie ?

RJJ, just for the father-son drama alone. Of course, the movie would end with RJJ beating Ruiz. A DLH movie is inevitable. I would like to see a Tito Trinidad movie as well.

It's Hollywood so I'd have RJJ Sr. coaching and training Jr for the Ruiz win:lol:

That's true but I just can't see it because they would have to portray Ruiz as this bad ass in order to make it suspenseful you know what I mean ? Ruiz would have to be this killer that nobody else beats and it takes little Roy to come up in weight and kick his ass. And we know that wasn't the case that would be like Rocky instead of training for Mr.T training for Pee Wee Herman.

    Duran
    Hatton
    Valero

A Hopkins one could be interesting because it wouldn't be you standard underdog story. It could concentrate more on his jail time, and then the politics of boxing behind the scenes.

I think Pazienza's got enough to make a good boxing movie.

I wish i could the entire broadcast for the RJJ-Pazienza fight. For what was basically a mismatch the lead up was really good.

The Valero story would make a very good movie, agreed. As long as the movie doesn't try and portray him as some tragic victim and just as a cunt.

I think the story of Team Freedom could be turned into a pretty good movie.

    Pernell Whitaker.

It would have a lot of drugs and a lot of crying, two main components of good movies.

Bernard Hopkins....his early life and his early boxing career is very interesting....but of course I don't want to see it being made for obvious reasons...

There was apparently talk in the early 80s of Pacino playing Roberto Duran. That would rawrked.

Jesus. He got away with the Tony Montana thing- quit when you are ahead, Towny.

If Pacino played Duran they would have needed Gary Coleman to play Ray Leonard.

Pacino is a midget man. I doubt he is anywhere near 5-7

He's 5 6' 1/2. Or at least was before he got into his 60s & 70s and doubtless shrunk an inch or two.

Joe Pesci is really small, Pacino is just kinda short, like Hoffman or Keitel.

Brewster and Whiskey's Valero pick would make good movies, but there is a guy like Brewster whose movie would be better than either of them. Quite a bit better, I think, because his story has more drama than either of theirs. I'll let someone guess who I am thinking of.
