I say NO. Both egos are just too big. It would be like Oscar De La Hoya negotiationg a fight with his clone. What a shame.

It would be one hell of a fight, but it won't happen.

Yes, it will at some point. The real question is how relevant it will be by the time they finally meet. Hopefully it's a little more Leonard/Hagler than Hopkins/Jones II.

i can only see it happening once pac loses to someone else first. by then, less people would care to see it. otherwise, it's probably not gonna happen.

Floyd should swan dive into a volcano.

    I say no.

PBF has more than made it clear with his actions that he doesn't want it with Manny.

Floyd's name should become a blanked expletive on every boxing message board & in every boxing magazine for the rest of time if this shit doesn't happen by the end of 2011.

Ring magazine says it will happen in 2011. Does that mean anything to anyone anymore?

i say it will happen in 2011 or 12 at latest and it is all Pac's fault it is taking so long

Why do you think LOK? Both seem to be pretty much at fault in my eyes.

Floyd was the one who proposed extra drug testing never before seen in boxing.

Why should Pacquiao or any fighter for that matter bow to his demands?

    Does he own boxing?

No it will not. Floyd is scared simple as that. The only way Floyd fights Pac is if Pac becomes shot over night. I mean literally shot as in he's in a pool of blood.

A lot depends on flyd's legal issues. he could very well spend the year with a serious legal case on the docket. if the charges against him go to trial, my guess...scrtach he and Manny off the 2011 calendar.

if he doesn't go to trial then I can see it coming together by the end of 2011...that will give him enough time to squeeze in a fight between now and the fall/winter.

Floyd right now isn't scared of Pacquaio, he is PETRIFIED.

If Manny slips up and starts to slow, Floyd will be yelling at the hilltops for the fight, at which point Pacquaio won't care or have the need to face a semi-retired, financially and legally troubled FIGHTER.

Then Floyd will go on a MEDIA tour to claim victory, sort of the fight Floyd prefers to launch anyway, without ever facing Pacquaio in the ring, in order to salvage what's left of his dignity.

    The answer is NO.

I can see Floyd's act has pretty much run its course. He's not fooling many people anymore.

I'm back and forth on this fight now. Sometimes I think all the waiting around will create more buzz leading up to it.

But sometimes I think I lose interest little by little. The cool think on Manny's part is that he is fighting the best guys available in the mean time.

Floyd on the other hand got too comfortable a while ago and and is becoming more irrelevant. He is only making news for the dumb shit he does outside the ring.

I honestly don't think it will happen. I just think that neither side trusts the other. At some point either side will come back with something to kill the fight.

I think the money for the fight has already peaked. With that it mind, it's hard to see it being put together until 1 or both of the guys are desperate to make it happen.

lol at people thinking MW is afraid of manny. Its an easy win for him.

I've generally taken Floyd's side through this whole debacle, but Manny is light years better than anybody Floyd has ever fought at any weight. And he knows it.

You didn't see Floyd demanding tiny little Marquez or old Oscar or Baldomir or Judah took drug tests. Just Manny.

  25. Fighter

    Fighter Undisputed Champion

I've FAVORED Floyd over Manny in a fight, since the beginning.

He is bigger, stronger and faster. Manny's got the WORKRATE, and is quicker than anybody he has ever faced. And his ring generalship and smarts has improved dramatically since he was a one handed FIGHTER back in the days.

That has Floyd SPOOKED. So much so that 50 million or more isn't moving him towards a CAREER defining and potentially the highest grossing fight in HISTORY.

He rather SMEAR Manny and appear in TMZ videos at 4am than at the MGM Grand in front of a sellout crowd, 3 million ppv sales in the US and more around the world where we see who is p4p best FIGHTER in the world.

Floyd will be 41, way past his prime, finally realizing he made a huge MISTAKE. He should have fought Pacquaio.

that depends on whether mayweather will be broke or not. i doubt he'd care if he was still affluent.

I think boxing drug tests are too relaxed and Floyd asking for it is good for boxing

Ill tell you what... Turning down MILLONS of dollars because you won't test says something to me
