Super Six World Boxing Classic fighter Arthur Abraham is recovering in Thailand from his surprisingly lackluster showing against Carl Froch in the final Group Stage 3 match. “I think I was overtrained after eight tough months of training,†he told Super Illu. “The fight was postponed twice, so I was constantly wired in. This is obviously not good for my body. When I finally got to fight him, I didn’t even recognize myself. I wasn’t as explosive and strong as I normally am, but the opposite.†In his next fight, Abraham will challenge WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward in the Super Six semi-final, probably in May and has promised to repair the damage to his reputation in that fight. “I can’t disappoint my fans again,†he stated.

Because he overtrained there you have it! Poor Abraham and lucky Froch! I swear these fighters who come out on the losing end always have the worst luck!!! Always something wrong going their way! Why do u think that is ??

His story hold some water but Froch is better than him, period.

Abraham needs a change of scenery.

Abraham knew he was already advancing...he was just playing possum that fight.

Ward is going to beat him easily anyway.

He might not even beat Glen Johnson...and if he does, no way he get's anything other than robbed in Oakland.

    Sherwood>Oakland:eek:hno:

I admit from watching Johnson's last win, he'll be a tough nut to crack, but Froch aint no Green and will be interesting to see how Johnson copes with Froch's style.

Froch really should beat Glen Johnson, after all, Froch is the Grand-Daddy of Glen Johnson.

Glen is also 49 years old.

Its Oakland, which doesn't actually have any Oaks, that I am worried about.

Doubt he'll be 'robbed' ,..in both ranges, from the outside or in the phone booth,.. Ward will show Froch what it means to have 25% non-european genetics,.. :crafty: , if anybody needs a robbery it'll be the Polska brit.

Froch is an average lump, he's not quite the scrub once thought,..but if you ponder back a little,..we had, thank god for the last round against Taylor,.. did he beat Dirrell?... did he beat Kessler?... well,.. Great 'Hopkins and Froch have never lost a fight' Britain seemed to insist he beat Kessler,.. and yes, he beat the 2nd worst fighter in the tournament lastly,..now,...IF he makes it, and barely he does,.. we're all doing a big favor to Ward in advance, that's for sure, so the way I see it is, ex-abandon ship american patriot Jeff Lacy fans, lend Britain your ears. :crafty:

Against Froch, Abraham looked the same way he always does. Low activity, guard held high for 80% of every round, with occasional explosions of shots thrown with such might that he requires 80% of the next round to recover.

Basically, he fought Froch the same way he's fought everyone. He just didn't manage to catch Froch in the later rounds. Froch didn't tire severely, moved well, and didn't take any stupid chances. Not to mention, he put serious hurt on Abraham.

Froch will struggle with Johnson but will get the win. He will then give Ward a reasonably tough fight but lose a fairly wide decision. I hate Ward but he is a good fighter

Britain really doesn't give a fuck about Froch to be honest with you Kauki, which is a fucking disgrace. The headlines always go to Khan and Hypemaker Haye.

I dont know about that, you underestimate your own media,.. Froch gets the most prolific news snippets out of anybody in the supermiddleweight division,..including Ward, now Ward I'd think would be a shining ray of light in a division that has terrorised America for a long time,.. but they still can't compete with the domestic attention Froch recieves that seaps through into global headlines.

and yes, yes indeed,..I know what you mean about Haye, I dont disagree with Froch coming 3rd behind him and Khan, moreso I disagree that it is a disgrace that Froch seems to get 'so little attention'...when from the view of boxing news where I'm sitting, he gets rather copious amounts compared to most other fighters in boxing.

I'm not underestimating anything Kauki bro, Froch has taken on the best competition available out of any other fighter in the UK by a long way, and the lack of recognition he gets from the UK press is sickening. Maybe amongst hardcore boxing fans he gets his due but to the mainstream public nobody knows who the fuck he is, which isn't right. He's ducked no one.
