    Floyd wins by a clear margin at either weight. Probably even a dominating margin. Buddy was a very good techncian, with a high ring IQ and decent speed, but against Floyd he's bested in all those areas, and doesnt have the firepower to do any damage to Floyd.

    Floyd... too quick... Speed was always McGirt's waterloo... he had excellent techinical skills, toughness and respectable power, but he could not handle really fast fighters

    Incidentally, it is interesting to note that Pernell Whitaker and Floyd, while clearly dominant over McGirt, would never be able to duplicate the most one sided loss McGirt ever suffered: Meldrick Taylor

    Whitaker and Mayweather were both clearly greater and better than Mel, tells us something about styles
