I give the nod to Roy. using Sly's example of best win for Floyd...he got oscar when Oscar wasn't in his prime or particularly active.

With Toney, Hopkins and Hill you're talking about three hall of fame fighters...the most questionable is Hill.

Corrales and castillo are questionable Hall of Fame guys. Oscar is in but again...past prime. Might as well add Marquez and Mosley to Floyd's list of future hall of fame guys then again..both past prime or away from best weight class.

    Roy ranks higher.

I'd agree with that...Hatton isn't Hall of Fame material outside of Britain.

    If Norton made it...

You seem to forget that Hatton stopped both Tszyu and Castillo, two things no one was expecting. Easy to act now as though he was a handpicked opponent. Mayweather dominated the undefeated version.

Interesting that Floyd has been given 3 1/2 years to surge ahead... yet you can still make just as strong of an argument for Roy today as was the case back then.

not sure who has the better resume, but i think mayweather would get much more respect if pacquiao wasn't around beating up similar foes.

^ true...Pac has taken a great big shit on Floyds resume

what has Floyd done since this thread got started? Hattons win is really it, and that was unfortunately above Hattons best weight

Castillo was a shell of himself. Hatton didn't fight the Castillo Floyd fought.

And much like what I said about Oscar, Kostya was neither in his prime nor terribly active when hatton fought him. Wasn't he coming off over a year of inactivity and an achilles tendon tear?

Prime for prime Roy was better than Floyd.

    End of arguement.

I'll bet you good money that Hatton ends up in the HOF.
