    After his lackluster performance despite his split decision over #14 ranked Silvio Olteanu of Romania on December 26, Daiki Kameda officially renounced his WBA flyweight belt because of his difficulty to make the weight any longer. The ex-champ explained, “I felt like my legs were paralyzed after the eighth round on due to my too severe reduction of weight. I repent of my poor showing caused by my terrible weight-making.” The WBA accordingly declared interim titlist Luis Concepcion of Panama the full 112-pound champion with Kameda rated atop in the super-fly category.

    WBO Jr Feather weight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr told El Nuevo Dia today that Bob Arum let his camp know that he might be in the undercard of Pacquiao vs Mosley on May 7 as the co-feature bout. Vazquez Jr will be defending his title against three time champion from Mexico Jorge "Travieso" Arce.


    Showtime will be choosing one these five boxers to challenge Juanma Lopez in a voluntary defense on April 16: Orlando Salido, Rey ‘Boom Boom’ Bautista, Teon Kennedy, Ricardo Córdoba & Jason Litzau who recently defeated Celestino Caballero.
