What STYLE/SKILLSET would it Take to BEAT Fedor???...

Is he More Susceptible to STRIKES, WRESTLING, GROUND GAME???...How is his BJJ??...

    N Terms of STRIKING, would a Boxing Approach B Best???...Muay Thai???...Kickboxing,etc???...Flying Knees???...Superman Punches???...

If U could CONSTRUCT a Fighter to BEAT Fedor, what Attributes &/or Bodytypes would U Borrow from Other Fighters???...

Since NOBODY Seems Capable of Beating this Cat N Real Life, let's TRY to Do it CYBER Style...

I think finding a HW that has hips nimble enough to deal with Fedor on the ground is going to be difficult. Nog is about the top of the BJJ game among HW's and he couldn't do it.

I still think a great striker with the ability to stuff take down attempts has the best shot. But as Sylvia showed, he better also have a great chin, great handspeed and no neck.

Truthfully though, and I know I'll get ridiculed for this, but I'd like to see Fedor deal with a guy like Lyoto Machida who is just plain tough to get hold of or touch with clean punches.

The reason that he is so hard to beat is because he is sooo damn well rounded. The dude is a great stiker, top notch Jiu Jitsu and Judo, sick ground and pound, and is extremely tough with great stamina. He really has all of the tools.

We saw him deal with adversity from basically every discipline. He was rocked by Fujita and recovered to destroy him, and he outstruck Crocop when Crocop was at his best. He Handled Noguieras ground game with ease and dismantled many other BJJ pros like it was nothing. Wrestlers were not a prob for him even when Randleman dropped him on his head. I really feel that the only way that Fedor will lose will be either a lucky punch or age catching up with him eventually. I don't even think underpreparing will be the case since Fedor trains like an animal year round.

However, if its gonna be cyber-style.

    Crocops stand up
    Nogs BJJ
    Sylvias Reach
    Silvas Muy Thai
    Wanderleis Heart
    Hunts Chin

Now that would be a fight!

I think the best way to beat Fedor is with an illegal elbow seconds into the fight.

He has the most relaxed and concerntrated mentallity I've ever seen of any fighter, he's anxiety free, and it's because of this that no wrestler or submission specialist will beat him, he is tactically superior,.. If he is beaten eventually, he'll be beaten by a striker, it'll come from a shot he doesn't see, more likely it'll be somebody with extremely good hands, boxer quality hands.

well let's see...nog has an amateur boxing background and incredible bjj yet he got owned.

crocop has the best standup, yet he was outpunched.

mark coleman/kevin randleman are both world class wrestlers, yet they ended up losing when their power slams weren't enough.

the only guy who came close to winning against fedor was arona but that was a long time ago.

    fedor is unbeatable.

Nog's ..errr.....'boxing' sux frankly,.. and Cro-cop's more of a kicker than a puncher,.. Im talking about boxers that possess excellent handspeed with 10 ounce gloves on,... but against such a fighter, I doubt Fedor would take the risk of standing to begin with anyway, he'd clutch for the ankles.

LOK, you've had some cage fights in your younger years. If you had become a full time fighter and met Fedor, would you have taken his ass?

There is no man on earth that is unbeatable. That is just ridiculous.

Fedor has been rocked before, he can an will eventually be KO'd.

:nono: Nope. Being rocked and being KO'd are two different things. That's like a tennis player getting a break point and ACTUALLY converting. Two different things. Anyone can get close.
Nobody has managed to hit Fedor hard enough to even knock him down on his back thus far.

That's what people seem to forget. I agree with you that he will eventually throw punches for too long with someone that can bang and end up getting knocked out.

However, I don't know the HW that can bang, avoid takedowns and not get clinched up with Fedor. Maybe that fighter exist, but I haven't seen him yet.

Here is a clip of the most hurt by a strike I've seen Fedor.. And the dude still had the calm about him to grab an arm and pull Fujita into his guard.

unbeatable given the circumstances. the heavyweight division is full of inconsistent B-/C+ fighters and fedor is simply in a separate class of his own.

Fedor would have made Zab Judah proud with his dance in the Fujita fight.

That was a monsterous swat to the temple from a very strong and squat heavyweight though,.. if Judah took that one he'd be spinning on his back and doin the worm.

Man that was a hell of punch... That and the time he got his head slammed by Randleman makes me doubt he'll lose soon. This guy is supernatural.

Werdum is my best bet to take him out.

Mark Hunt had him pinned in a verrrry bad spot. If any solid ground fighter had him there he would be toast. Anyone can lose...especially in mma.

Either a flukish KO, or Barnett/Werdum by submission. Any other way to me is inconceivable.

    Fedor = God

Arona gave him a very good fight in rings. A top-notch wrestler with a very good submission game could definitely beat him. There just aren't any in the heavyweight division. The closest thing would be Barnett. If GSP was a heavyweight he would whip him.

Werdum is a weaker version of Noguira. Noguira killed Werdum too back in Pride.

    not true.

nog owned him in standup but was getting dominated on his back, and even when he was on top. that was a close fight. if fabricio somehow gets top position on fedor he might taste his first loss.
