Might have a new player in the lhw division. I wasn't too high on him before tonight, but annilhating cloud like this in only his third fight is really something

It's hard to know for sure how good beterbiev is from this fight. Before the first kd, it seem like Cloud would gave him a good fight, and the first kd was really weird, since it was from punches in the clinch while beterbiev was trapping one of Cloud arms, an cloud seem like he didnt' care after this. Still, he's an A grade prospect since his power seems to be in the Kovalev league, and he has that great amateur background.

Sensational and brutal KO win by Beterbiev. Really has genuine power at World Level. The signs were there after he dispatch the durable Rayco Saunders, in only his 2nd fight. Let's hope they keep him busy, going to be alot of fun following his progress.

Beterbiev really need to step it up. 31 years old and hasn't fought anybody. He seems elite but GYM should stop wasting everybody's time and put him with Jean Pascal next (or another fighter of similar quality)

I kind of lost some respect for Beterbiev after he spent his entire short career talking shit about how he would destroy Kov, then Kov offers him a fight, and he and his people go, "Nah, we're good."

From what I heard, he turned down Sullivan Barrera. It may be because of Barrera visa issue (it seems he can't get in Canada) but considering he's not a big seller here and that most of the money from his fights comes from PBC, fighting in the US shouldn't be much of an issue.

 

The funniest thing about the Melito-Cooper fight was that afterwards, one of Melito's guys come up to him and says something like "Good news. He's going to give you a rematch!"

Melito looks this guy in the eyes with a look on his face that says "Rematch?? Motherfucker, did you just see what happened in this fight??"

The fact that GYM accepted to have beterbiev face Cloud in his third (or maybe fourth) pro fight is pretty much the proof that they knew he was beyond shot
