nah, they had a decent stare out. i think hopkins has realised he can't do anything to intimidate cal so he's not even trying. he did point to cals body and say something as if he's gonna try a sustained body attack maybe?
Calzaghe Looks "NORMAL", both Physically & N Terms of his CONFIDENCE Level... Doesn't Seem to B "Affected" by the Task @ All, Despite Being N America... REED
Nope, but then again I didn't expect him to. It's not like he's only just become champ and this is his first big test. He is also a very confident guy without a doubt.
It was a good staredown....Hopkins nosed aggressively and Joe gave it right back. Doesn't necessarily mean anything but I think it will be a good fight. There were a few notables onstage including Sly Stallone and even Roy, who was talking to Shane I believe.
There are plenty of fighters and athletes these days who still perform near peak at 37+, Hopkins is not unique , I keep hearing these comments "wow he's so thoroughly thoroughly amazing!" ...yet he throws about 3 punches a fucking round, Glen Johnson is near Hopkins age and he's comparitively alot buisier in the ring, Randy Couture is older than Hopkins and he has to use all the muscles in his body to compete in the Octagon. Hopkins 'age' is overrated, just like his entire career bludgeoning on smaller opponents , and it's quite clear to see this career middleweight is larger than the 'big supermiddleweight'.......:dunno: how can that possibly be?....:eeeek: fuck he must've had some fun down there,...
1- Hopkins 2- Randy Couture 3- Glenn Johnson 4- ??? who else? :dunno: as usual, you talk out of your ass I want to see the "plenty of atheletes" list opcorn:
Hopkins mentally trying to pierce though Calzaghe, the latter on his toes smiling, dancing back and forth. Hopkins' opponent usually dances to HIS tune. Can Calzaghe force a pace to make Hopkins unconfortable in the later rounds? I think it will be one big chess match.
I agree it will def be a chess match. Like Roy said Calzaghe has to fight his fight and throw alot of punches. If he can do that and not get countered then he should win the fight easily. However he must be very careful not to leave himself open to counters which I think he does quite often when he's throwing his combinations. If he gets caught with a couple that might deter his attack and slow the pace down in B-Hops favor. If the fight goes that way I can see B-Hop pulling out a close decision. I'll Holla 5000
