....down on boxrec as on the undercard tomorrow....yet i've heard hardly anything about it since it was announced

is Cintron too big?....my view is that if Cintron can't get Ndou out quick then he is in for a very tough fight down the stretch

n'dou is much like ben tackie. impossible to stop, always coming forward but in the end, loses against good opposition.

Damn, Ndou is in for a bad beating imo. He must be pushing 40 these days, I remember watching him years back thinking fuck hes old.

N'Dou is just too small. Wouldn't matter when they fought...I don't think he'd win.

Cintron better look better than he did against Feliciano...those performances aren't as forgiveable when you're not holding a title.

Kinda my thoughts as well. I saw both of them yesterday. Kermit's actually much leaner, whereas N'Dou looks like he bulked up perhaps for the sake of bulking up. Of course, both were wearing casual clothes (fall season gear, no less), so today's weigh-in should be more telling. Still, making 147 and fighting at 147 - and against a naturally big 147 lb. fighter - are two different matters altogether.

I remember watching N'Dou fight as a lightweight years ago, and he looked pretty bulky there. He was pretty damn fast back in the day too. That speed wouldn't help him here though...it's just his size combined with a little mans style.

It's not good and I expect him to get hurt in this fight, which is a shame.

Has Cintron fired Steward in other words can we expect immediate improvement?

    yes, he's with Ronnie Shields.

I remember when I was younger, every time I'd seen Sheilds walking to the ring with a fighter I knew he was going to lose already. He was almost never in the right corner in big fights.

dude, n'dou has an iron chin. bogus statement.

    n'ou belongs @140 nonetheless.

i like how you waited til after the fight to post this :bears:

....i didn't make a prediction as such anyway....Ndou did take him the distance, but the scorecards don't suggest that it was too tough.....so my initial suspicion that Cintron could be too big appears to be nearing the mark........you waiting til after the fight so that your point can't be proved wrong......my contradicting crystal ball......a couple of crafty ones we are

....but yeah, as for the point on Ndou's chin.......Witter had him down twice, and they weren't flash knockdowns either.....was it such a great leap from that to suggest that Cintron, with his monsterous reputation, might be able to score a KO?!?....

Terrible fight. N'Dou spent almost the entire fight clinching, and Kermit was all too willing to allow it. Scores were actually closer than should've been the case.

N'Dou needs to go back to 140, but even there he seems to have maxed out in terms of career potential/achievements.

Thanks Jake. How did the Olympic heavyweight look? Wilder I believe his name is. They showed a couple clips on HBO. He looks like he's in shape at the very least.

here's my ringside report on him: http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=16988

Looked awkward in the first round, settled in and took care of business in the second against a made-to-order opponent. The thing I like about him the most is his brutal honesty. Everyone was impressed with the finish (hell of an overhand right to knock out dude), but his quote "I won't settle for less" I thought was the best possible answer he could've given.

Even though he won a bronze, he's still only been boxing for three years between ammy and pros. That's to say, there's a lot of work ahead and he knows it.

Thanks, I went with that one instead of my first choice: "Wilder's opponent sucks Cox"

....well he showed that he is much improved since the 2nd Margarito fight, a 3rd one would be in no way like the other two.....a win against another mid-level opponent should reinforce this view and a 3rd match will have to happen otherwise Margarito is scared
