........seems to be calling everyone out at 140.......apart from Junior Witter

....just a couple of weeks back there was talk of Alexander and Witter meeting in a WBC eliminator.....now Devon is stating that he is WBC #1, and has called out several contenders with one glaring omission....Junior Witter

Witter has long been avoided, but anyone know why the Alexander match has apparently fallen through......i have read nothing from the Witter side, and all i am seeing is Devon naming everone but Bradford's tricky switch-hitter

how highly do people rate Devon's prospects?.....and to what degree is Witter still a player at 140?

REED Can Only Rate Devon Alexander Based on the 1 Fight he's Seen, vs. Chop Chop Corley...

Good WORKRATE, Nice SKILLSET, but No POWER Whatsoever...But Like Juan Diaz, Alexander STAYS in the Pocket More than U'd Expect from a Guy that CAN'T Punch a Lick...

REED Doesn't Know if he Forsees GREATNESS in Alexander, but he'll B a VERY GOOD Fighter in the 140-147 Mix for the Next 10 Years...REED Thinks a Fight w/Witter is a Bit PREMATURE for Alexander, but REED Also Said the Same thing when Tim Bradley Signed to Fight Witter...

As for Witter, he's Known for 3 Things...RUNNING from Zab Judah, RIDING Ricky Hatton's Nuts & CHOKING vs. Tim Bradley...

my guess is the same reason every other fight falls through - either an injury or money. and ever when it's purported to be an injury, it's money.

    my guess is money.

Same old, same old with Junior. He's such a high risk, low reward opponent for almost anyone except guys like Bradley, who has nothing much to start with and can end up with a shiny belt around his waist. Now Junior doesn't even have that to dangle in front of possible opponents, he'll find things tough going indeed.

To be honest, I'm surprised he's still fighting. I thought after the Bradley debacle that he would retire...

alexander seems solid, but boring. his power is akin to that of juan diaz.
