The opening scene doesn't help IMO. He looked so stupid on that motorcycle and it was also a bit of a dumb scene. It's actually kind of the reason I stopped watching it the first time. I also didn't like the inconsistently forced tough guy voice that made him sound like Batman one minute and just a guy with a normal deep voice the next. However those were just minor negatives that didn't bring the film down at all.

 

Which bit? When he leaves his apartment or when he's in pursuit of the perps using Slo-Mo?

I agree with the voice: sometimes, Urban's trying a little too hard to disguise his Kiwi-accent which is probably why you get the Snake Plissken/Batman hybrid going at times...

They showed him leave his apartment? I watched a downloaded copy and that part wasn't in it so yeah I was talking about the stupid motorcycle scene.
