Middle class Englishman FTW :mj: :: Wilksy fucked him up, Demarcus didn't look like he stood a chance in there. It's clear Wilks is the best fighter of the show, I am fairly surprised that Ross beat Andre though. I don't think I was wrong in rating Andre, I think he just lacks that extra gear often needed to pull out a win. Andre is pretty skilled, talented and tough, but he didn't have that extra gear, and Ross did.
I was very happy with last night....Demarcus didn't just get beaten....he was OWNED. In the Lester fights, we didn't really get a chance to see Wilks' ground game....very impressive. Ross i liked throughout the whole show....just solid all round, and very determined. As MWS says, they obviously knew each other well, not much difference ability wise....but Ross just wasn't to be denied. As for the main event......definite contender for best stare-down ever.....good fight too! btw, on the undercard...Nick submitted Frank in the first, and Jason did the same to Cameron.
He was absolutely owned. I had a feeling James would win, but not like that, not by domination. That was an easy fight. Rocked him with the first landed punch, then just dominated on the ground. You're right, his ground game was impressive, just non stop submission attempts, sometimes 2 at once :: I liked both Ross and Andre throughout the show, but no doubt Ross deserved that win, after the first round I thought Andre would win, but it's true, Ross simply wasn't going to be denied. Awesome little Geordie, he is a bit like a little bulldog. PS - Adam, did you see those undercard fights?
no, but i was keen enough to look up the results on the ufc website. I think they might put up video of the prelims at some stage though
Why all the hype around Demarcus, 3 times I watched this guy on TV and he shite. Congrats to wilkes - an excellent performance.
btw, just curious....how necessary are the subtitles they have runnin on the screen throughout the series....they used it for the a few of the brits?....anyone here actually need them?
