Jimmy The Greatest of Are Times

Adaptation of Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter books, which shows the beginning of the relationship between forensic psychiatrist Lecter and FBI profiler Will Graham. A relationship which will turn Lecter into Graham's greatest ever foes...

Graham enlists Lecter's help in catching a serial killer, unaware that the psychiatrist has a rather more intimate knowledge of serial killers than he realises...

New to the UK. First episode was on last week, catching up on the second episode tonight. It's a bit weird but very watchable and intriguing. Any of my American fightbeat brethren watched this series? Do you like it? Don't give anything away if you've seen this! :warning:

Nobleart was ravinga bout it in the tv show thread. I started watching the first episode but didn't finish (I was tired).

    Might watch it tonight.

There have been 4 or 5 episodes here. I wanted to like it but it just doesn't work for me. The Graham character is meek, feeble, and odd. Unfortunately I like the kick ass Graham as payed by William Peterson in "Manhunter".

It starts slow but if you stick with it, you should enjoy it.

Ma thoughts exactly - the spectre of Peterson's fantastic 'Graham' portrayal' is haunting the tv series o' Hannibal fer me at the mo'.

Must try and get ma heid aroond it and no' let it spoil the show which does have potential.

Peterson was obviously great as Will Graham, but I like Dancy's version to, as different as it is. Probably closer to the character in the book.

I don't know if I would call him meek. I like some of the scenes where he recreates the murderer's actions, as if he were there.

    He's haunted.

I saw Peterson recently in a film, and he really got fat since he left CSI.

Mads is stellar as Lecter, also.

Mads Mikkelsen is very good as Lecter. Hugh Dancy is also good in the series. I didn't realize he was English.

I'm glad to see others appreciated Petersen in "Manhunter"

I still consider it the best of the Hannibal movies.

Yes! Will you come to my house for dinner. We can do a Hannibal marathon and play Jenga all night.

    I promise I won't cancel last minute.
