I get the feeling lots of people assume its great. He took some pretty good shots from Zoo but lots of guys have taken Zoo's power pretty good. He's been dropped before and I though Collazo had him hurt. Also we've never really seen Hatton come back from adversity or his ability to recover. He was scared as hell of Tackie and the jug head south american. For some reason I think his chin isn't what most make it out to be and I wouldnt be surprised to see Floyd rock his world.

Hatton style of fighting helps him...anytime he gets hit he is usually coming forward throwing punches/or looking to clinch..if he gets hit with a good punch..he CAN CLINCH..and play it off..like he wasn't stun..Calslappy do that alot..

Collazo definitely had him hurt. There is little debate there, although you could certainly argue that it was the cumulative impact of Ricky tiring and Collazo landing a lot of shots down the stretch of there fight.

Urango hurt him to the body, as I recall. And the only time I remember him being dropped was against Magee, but it was more of a timing/balance shot early in the first round.

Floyd's Pot Shotting dosent have a chance in hell hurting Hatton. You can forget that right now!

Hatton's chin is going to be suspect, because he took Tszyu's shots...which has been done before? Right? Well, Judah didn't take them too well...yet he went 12 with the guy who is supposed to be knocking Hatton out?

Way to argue your case. :bears:

I didn't say Floyd is knocking Hatton out. I'm not even making a case. I just made an observation. I beleive Hattons chin isn't what it's made out to be. I strongly beleive that Castillo, Delahoya, and Baldomir have far better chins. Also Hatton tends to lung in more than these guys which should make him get hit with a lot more counters. Hes a bigger risk taker and he'll get punished more than these guys did.

If I was making a case it's that Mayweather is going to put it on Hattons chin and he isn't going to take it as easily as some people think thats all.

Floyd had to look for Zab all night, thats not Floyds strength. That's Zoo's strength though hence the results.

You know.....the whole styles makes fights thing? you might of heard of it

How about his countering? Baldomir and Oscar are big men with big heads. Hatton isn't going to try to "intelligently" engage Floyd like those guys, he's going to come in throwing shots like a crazed football holligan and hes going to pay for it.

I'm 100% sure Floyd can hurt Hatton. Timing, speed and accuracy can hurt anybody. I think Hatton knows it too, he isn't the idiot you're describing, I highly doubt he'll jump on his best opponent ever like a "crazed football hooligan".

Zab went 12 rounds with Floyd only cause he hit him in the nuts and behind the head. Zab was on his way to being stopped.

He was afraid of Tackie? Did you mean to write afraid of killing Tackie because I started worrying about that about 5 rounds into it.

Floyd is probably the best fighter Hatton has been in with, but at 140 Floyd wasn't a sure pick over Tszyu at all, not with Castillo 1 in Floyd's history. And he's no sure pick over Hatton because of the same reason.

Nevada State regulation size: 35 by 35 feet.
It probably favors Hatton more, seeing as he'll have more room to clinch in.

Incorrect: clinching is done in as small a square area as possible.
What you meant to say was:
"Nevada State regulation size: 35 by 35 feet.
It probably favors Mayweather more, seeing as he'll have more room to run."

Hattons best chance of a KO is with a clinch.

No way Floyd gets the KO, Hatton's chin is solid, Collazo was big guy at that weight and Hatton took the shots well.

:dunno: Hatton outweighed Collazo, and was ready to go in the 12th.

Didn't Collazo fight as a light middle...? ready to go and going are two different things.

That was a hard fight for Hatton but he got the result.

Whether Collazo fought at light middleweight or not is irrelevant. Zab Judah just fought at the weight last week. Does that make him a big welterweight too? No, it doesn't.

The point is, you said Collazo was "a big guy at that weight." Yet, on fight night, Hatton outweighed Collazo. You also said Hatton took his Collazo's shots well. However, the 12th round of that fight suggests otherwise as well as a few other instances earlier in the fight.

Duran outweighed Hearns in their fight as well.
