Watching it now. So far really good.

This movie really started great and creepy. The wife's acting was top notch. And the ugly creepy daughter was great too but then they go fuuuuuck it up. Shame. So close yet so far.

 

Agreed and the sad thing is, non-Xplosive will disagree just to validate him trashing A Quiet Place and predicting this would be better.

Quiet place was better. Good throughout albeit not great. This started great and ran out of has and got ko'ed bad.

 

Finally watched Hereiditary earlier today.

It was good... but forgettable. Above average, better than that piece of shit A Quiet Place.

But it certainly wasnt great. As far as similar films go, it was better than Insidious, but not nearly as good as Sinister.

 

it starts good and super depressing...but they just didn't pull it off, the last 30minutes was done really badly

That's the case with MOST modern day horror flicks, especially the supernatural kind. They start off strong, then fall apart badly down the stretch. Hereditary was no different.

I think It Follows and Oculus were the last quality supernatural horror flicks I've seen.
