Doesn’t get enough credit. Retired undefeated. 46-0 32 KOs Uncanny cardio. Averaged 80 punches a round. Great chin and made Roy Jones look like he shouldn’t have even been there. hung em up after great fighter
Bar Roy Jones, I think he would be even or odds on against any other 168lber...if it was my money, I would pick Toney over him, and Ward would be very close either way. Hopkins at 168 is hard to say, both of them looked awful and over the hill when they eventually met. He always beats the other 168 Brits, same for Canelo.
REED Would Wait to See How Toney Looked @ the Weigh-In 1st...Toney Would Have to Be @ His ABSOLUTE Best to Beat Calzaghe, Which He WASN'T Always... Something HAS to Give in Toney-Calzaghe - The Threat of Toney's Counters LOWERS Calzaghe's Volume OR He OUTWORKS Toney... REED
Yeah, Calzaghe's Length, Speed and ACTIVITY Are a Bad Matchup for Canelo's SPURT Fighting...Calzaghe Beats Canelo 8-9 Times Out of 10... REED
I would say even with BS decision....Canelo won't register a W vs. Calzaghe at 168......... but then I remember 1 judge had him draw vs. Mayweather....and another just had Floyd winning 8-4, when Canelo won maybe 1 round...maybe.
Toney would slaughter him. Old ass hopkins was countering the shit out of him, prime toney would have a field day. But yeah, canelo doesn't match well with him
I agree, the Toney from the Barkley fight outclasses Calz. Calz-Ward is 50-50 Calz beats everyone else at 168 (except for prime Jones, obviously).
