Tarver ruined the Rocky movie. He came in flabby and had zero charisma and screen presence. Sly made a huge mistake casting that clown in the 'Mason Dixon' role. He should've just hired a real actor. Tarver didn't look big or physically intimidating even remotely.

 

He's right up there with Floyd as the most odious & charmless prick in boxing. He should have cast Mike.

Damn, how easily forgotten Apollo Creed becomes.

A past his prime, unmotivated Apollo Creed draws with a young and hungry, in his prime Rocky Balboa. Imagine what a prime Apollo Creed does to these alleged Supermen who went tooth & nail with Balboa. :dunno:

He would pity Clubber Lang and the Klit brothers would have never been born if he got hold of Ivan Drago when he was at the top of his game.

Tommy Gunn?................He would have knocked him flat at the opening bell and shit on his chest before he even hit the canvas. :nono:

 

I agree Apollo would have whupped Land pretty easily. Lang was destructive at close quarters but he would never catch Apollo and he would get winded quickly. Balboa did a poor impression of Creed and knocked him out.

Creed-Drago prime for prime would be a coin-toss. Creed could outbox Drago but one punch from Ivan freezed Apollo so that he couldn't defend himself anymore. Chances are that Death From Above would land it at some point

You didn't factor in that Creed had been retired for many years before coming out to take part in what he thought was an exhibition before getting ambushed by Drago who apparently thought it was a real fight.

A prime Creed makes the lumbering Drago looks like he is moving in slow motion and wins with room to spare.

 

But don't you remember the Soviet scientists testing Drago's punching power per square inch? The guy said, "Whatever he hits, he destroys." How can anybody fuck with that?

My biggest worry is Drago passing the roid test, especially when they have proof from the scene where they stuck him with the needle. It will be hard for him to say he didn't know.

 

Well, they Never Actually SAID that Drago was Being Injected w/Steroids...Sure, we Saw him Being Injected w/SOMETHING, but it Could've Been a FLU Shot...
