A CHILD Could Watch that Fight & Have Ali Winning 6 of 10 Rounds,yet the "Robbed" Myth PERSISTS...

Definitely BOTH Taylor-Hopkins fights as well as Taylor-Winky.

 

There are people on here who won't give Jerbum Taylor any credit for beating Borenard twice when the guy gave away 6-7 rounds in each fight not throwing any punches.

So I'd have to say these two fights jump up the list as being overrated in terms of robberies.

 

Fraud - Castillo 2,..

Castillo gave away too many early rounds.

People were brainwashed by Lederman's RIDICULOUS scorecard.

Floyd won rounds 1-4,8,10 and 11..at the very least.

 

Depends on your definition of robbery. Any fight thats decided upon the final round, like Ford giving the 12th to Taylor, is a bonafide robbery and fix, as far as I'm concerned.

 

Then Pacquiao-Marquez was the worst robbery of all time...

A robbery to me is when I give a guy every benefit of the doubt and still have him losing. That pretty much disqualifies both Hopkins-Taylor fights.

:dunno: Castillo just idoled far too long before chasing him down and applying his superiority late, but by then he had allowed Fraud to literally run away with the fight. It's his own fault...that's why Fraud - Castillo 2 is an overrated "robbery".

Kenny did dominate....for 7 rounds. He won his rounds bigger than Ali won his, but a won round is a won round. And 8 shaded rounds will always beat 7 dominant rounds.


Collazo-Hatton.
Close fight, Hatton was the champ, and you have to BEAT the champ. Plus Hatton scored only KD which shaded it for him in the end. Collazo finished strong but thats not always enuff. As great as he looked in the 12th, he did lose the 11th, and they all count.

Foreman-Briggs
People combine Briggs own disbelief and their hero-worship of George to give themselves the impression that George won. He didn't. As bad as Briggs looked, the fact that a younger fitter man doesn't dominate the older fat guy doesn't mean that he didn't win. You can't strip a guy of the W just cos he didn't look as good as he was supposed to: and Briggs landed the cleaner shots and finished stronger. Just cos Briggs thought he fucked up doesn't count for shit. Like I said, a bad performance can still be a winning one, even if Briggs didn't grasp that.

 

I've never seen Toney-Tiberi.

From every account i've heard/read Toney was given a "gift" to put it mildly.

It seem most so-called robberies aren't really robberies. People just like to call something a robbery when they don't agree with the decision, often when the fight is very close and can go either way.
