Have Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito ruined each other....???:dunno:

Taking nothing away from Mosley of course...he had a great plan and it work to perfect probably better than he thought it would....

Nope. MOSLEY ruined Marg. And Marg likely ruined Cotto. And speed kills. Ppl can say whatever they want about strength, toughness, all that crap... when its all said and done... more times than not, speed is the biggest factor in boxing.

I said it early on in the round by round, Mosley was just too fast for Marg. I don't think Cotto ruined Marg at all, he never even hurt him.

It was the same Margarito as ever......Mosley was just simply the best he has been in nearly 9 years....

Straight away he looked a lot quicker than he has done in a while.....ever since the Forrest fights he has been very tentative....tonight, he showed great self-belief and aggression

his game plan was spot on.....and his fitness was remarkable

.....we saw a reborn fighter in there tonight. Sensational.

Margarito didn't took half the beating Cotto took. Tony is not ruined, but his image of invincibility certainly is at this moment.

I'll tell you what ruined them both. That goddamn Teddy Atlas. Dude co-signing a fighter is like the kiss of death.

He looked like his vintage self in the Vargas rematch, but he had a corpse in front of him that night. Tonight he had a prime Marg in front of him, and it was no differance. Shane is a special fighter, and an all time great.

I think that's up for debate. Shane plastered Margarito from bell to bell. Cotto was elusive for a good portion of their fight. Shane hits harder than Cotto too.

True, but after the six round Cotto was systematically destroyed to the point of quitting. His face was a bloody mess. Margarito was being beaten to the punch by Mosley, but it wasn't until the eight round that he began to crumble. Margarito could stay for the post fight interview while Cotto was hurried to the hospital.

It's hard to tell because Margarito takes a beating better than Cotto too.

Who cares. They both got folded.

They didn't ruin each other. They just weren't that great to begin with (well, at least to the extent they were thought of). Which goes the same for practically his entire competition pool.

Just look at the Margarito's era: Judah, Baldomir, Clottey, Cintron, Cotto, hell... you can even put in Floyd---at the higher weights) and that of Mosley's: Prime versions of Trinidad, DLH, Forrest, Quartey... hell, you can even put in a prime Mayorga who imo is better than Tony.

Shane gained confidence as he realized how slow AM was. He was able to load up and time his shots easily.

Yeah. I was amazed at how big the speed disparity was considering Shane's age. Shane is still fast, but GODDAMN Margarito is slow. And Shane isnt NEARLY as fast now as he was 8 years ago.

Like I said before, if this was the 2000 version of Mosley, this fight woulda been a replica of Mosley-Diaz.

Not only was it the speed, but the STRENGTH of Shane as well. Shane looked significantly stronger than Margarito and when the need arised, was able to clinch and muscle Antonio around the ring at will.
