interesting book by Carlos Acevado. definitely worth checking it out as a boxing fan.

 

Foreskin by Thomas Hauser. Oh I hope he writes better than he speaks.

He sucks. He got the Bert Sugar job after Bert died.

 

His Xs and Os are shite but the guy is a great investigative journalist and an outstanding writer

 

i am not a fan of hauser but Acevedo is a great writer and knows what he is talking about as far as boxing. great stories i wasnt familiar with about: ad wolfgast, eddie machen, al singer, don jordan, and carmelo negron.

 

Don Jordan... that’s the whackiest career ever... lunatic of a guy as well... he gave an utterly insane interview to Peter Heller for “In This Corner...” where he just lied through his teeth, claiming to have grown up in Cuba and worked as a professional killer as a child ... he was from East LA

 

yea jordans story wsa interesting.

 

Hauser's Obviously NOT a "Boxing Guy", But He's a Damn Good Writer Despite Being Pretentiously LENGTHY in His Pieces, @ Times...
