This technique is used a lot in MMA and MT, yet I've never seen it used in boxing.

    Wondering why.

    Is it illegal?
    Too inefficient?

Yeah I know it's mostly effective cause you fake a kick before throwing it, but still weird that you never see it in boxing, if not for some surprise effect

It's a fucking stupid and ineffective punch that is easy to avoid. The fact that it's so effective in MMA is because MMA striking and defense is terrible.

It's is hardly ever used in proper Muay Thai, only in shitty Japanese knock offs like One etc

In mma it works because there is a lot of variables that you have to worry about defensively. Including take downs, kicks, flying knees, punches, spinning attacks etc. So it's easier to surprise someone and land the superman punch. In boxing you only worry about one thing only. Your opponents punches. Thus making the superman punch incredibly easy to see coming hence extremely easily defended or worse yet ferociously countered.

That's broadly true about the MMA skillset, but I'd say because there are so many variables that you need to train, that explains why MMA striking is second rate and hence why superman punches and spinny shit get used so much there but not in pure striking like Muay Thai.

Found one. It didn’t land, but it was quick enough that could see it landing with someone quicker and more skilled

But just like I said in game where you only look out for two fists coming at you it's too predictable and easily avoidable. Maybe if a guy was hurt on the ropes covering up maybe then it lands. But in the middle of the ring I don't ever see it landing.

Commentator was way too involved. Needs to calm down. Very shouty. Should have a volume warning.
