Has anyone caught this new show on hbo? About nyc pimp scene in the early 70's. Pretty interesting so far. Nyc was so different in the 70's.

About the LA comedy-club scene in the early 70s...

Yeah. I checked out one episode of that and it was boring.

Only seen two episodes. Not much plot yet. Just like the setting so far.

Yeah, I'll agree with that one. Forced myself through about 3 or 4 episodes because I'm a sucker for that type of subject matter, and it was oddly the unfunniest and most uninteresting show about standup comedy I had perhaps ever seen.

Reminded me of that other shitty show that Showtime had on about "Roadies". Another subject I'm oddly fascinated with, but the show was so fucking mundane and hackneyed, I immediately became totally un-fascinated by the topic.

  8. Other "set in the 1970s' nostalgia TV shows I couldn't get into:
    Vinyl
    The Get-Down

I liked Vinyl a lot. Never saw the other one.

  10. I couldn't get into it. I don't particularly like James Franco either TBH....and there's two of him on screen!! Oh the horror. Nice tits and ass on the show though
