The Escapist - Very pleasant surprise. Never even heard of this one before. Nice addition to the Prison Break genre and a great performance from Brian Cox (one of the most under-rated character actors ever). A couple actors playing against type do very well. Damian Lewis as the prison kingpin is legitimately scary, and Joseph Fiennes who I normally can't stand, does a great job playing a tough guy safecracker (didn't even realize it was him until about halfway through the movie). A slight twist at the end actually brings the movie in line with some of the plot holes that seem to build up during the conclusion. I have higher hopes in the new Planet Of The Apes movie, knowing they tabbed the director of this to make it. Just finish this movie. VERY GOOD. Entertaining from start to finish. I would put it right up there with some of the best prison escape movies. 8.5/10
this reminds me of something One evening, my GF was taking shower so I thought I'd play a joke on her... I got all nekkid and shit and stepped into the shower and started acting like Bogz Diamond in Shawshank "anybody come at you? anybody get to you yet? we all need friends in here... I could be a friend to you" good times
