Came out at the end of last year/earlier this year. I just picked it up a couple of days ago.. it was so fascinating, I wound up staying up late one night & reading it all in one go. Amazing story. The only thing I'd change is that I wish he'd dwelled on boxing personalities more, like what other famous boxers were like in person (he does to some extent, but mostly he just talks about himself and his personal friends; his autobiography, so can't blame him). Anyone else read it?

I thought it was interesting read and you can here Tyson's voice behind it so it has been well done from the writer. It is easy to read but at the same time interesting and offers a unique look at boxing. Of course, as every autobiography from a fighter that I have read it is full of excuses , but you need that mind set to be a successful fighter. Also I didn't like the glorifying of street fighting, but that too seems to happen in every boxing book

Only autobiography I ever read where the guy just admits he couldn't beat the guy was Frazier's when he was talking about George ("that heavy-handed fella", he calls him)

I already read Chico's. It was good, but not as good as the Riddick Bowe story, "Punch Drunk Love."

what kind of stuff does Tyson write about?

does it go into alot of detail about partying and banging girls? or is it more about boxing?

there is a lot about his childhood, about cus, the early years.. then there's also a lot about partying, girls, addiction. some about boxing, he talks about his fights, the perspective he had of his opponents, how he won or why he lost. he talks about the douglas fight, how he didn't train and how he spent the whole time in tokyo doing nothing but having sex with scores of japanese women, makes the 'long count' excuse too. it's interesting in the sense that as Ugo said, the story is told entirely in Tyson's voice from Tyson's perspective.

Andrew Golota wrote an excellent biography of "My life in the ring" Or, to be exact, it was good for five pages, then he passed out and quit the writing

Just saw Oscar's autobio on the shelf, but the title was too disturbing for me to buy. It's titled "When Life Gives You Lemon's, Trade Them in For Bananas And Stick Them Up Your Ass For Arousal."
