Steward has stated that he feels; “Chisora is the most dangerous opponent Wladimir will have fought in many years.â€￾, ahead of the title clash in Germany in April. The reasons behind Steward feeling this way is due to watching recent video footage of Chisora and feels the raw talent, hand speed, power and head movement that Chisora possesses will give the Ukrainian trouble on the night of the fight. With Chisora's constant head movement, Steward feels that Wlad will not be able to land his shots as successfully as in recent fights and with the power Chisora has and Wlad's weak chin, it will be only a matter of time during the fight until Chisora hurts the Champion.

What are your thoughts on this?

I'll just wait for Irish to tell me what to think lol. It's more entertaining that way.

Those were Steward's reasons? That seems odd for a trainer to say about his fighter

    good one.

You know what tho, going back a good few weeks, even months, when this fight was made, I said to myself, ''Fucking no chance Chisora wins this'', but after watching clips myself of Chisora, listening to what he has to say, the confidence he has in abundance and with Wlad having pulled out before, I feel something shocking may happen that night. What if Wlad's injury reoccurs and is forced to retire during the fight? Will they fight again? Are we all having a laugh at Chisora's expense, but reading and listening to what the great Emanuel Steward has to say, will he prove to be right? Really can't wait for this one.

I'm sure most of it is legit concerns but it is still part of the hype for the fight. I'd love to see ANYONE competitive with either brother at this point, so go Chisora. The biggest problem with a Chisora win is that it would have David Haye in the clear.

Yeh on the ringside latest episode over in the UK, Steward was interviewed about what he thought of the chisora/wlad fight and actually said that he preferred wlad to meet haye
He said chisora is a much more dangerous opponent than haye and feels chisora has natural talent in abundance.

Steward, at times, seems to think he is both a PR guy and a trainer. Of more significance than what Steward says is when he says it.

I'm happy with Manny mouthing off right now.

But between rounds? When he starts to sound like a puppy dog all entwined in a roll of velcro? Thats when I get concerned....deciding, mid fight, that your man needs a KO to assuage the press is not a trainers job, nor should it be.

It could well be hype for the fight, but wouldn't it be great if we witnessed chisora ko wlad lol. A chisora v haye fight in the uk then would be huge and i think chisora would be favourite to beat haye.

Go back and have a look at the terms of contract for the proposed McCloskey vs Khan fight.

Now, imagine that, times ten, for Chisora.

If Chisora sold a lollipop, 97% of his profit would go to the KLitschkos, with the remainder going to a charity of their choice, and Chisora would be paying tax on the gross sum.

If Chisora beats Wlad, he has to face Vitali, and if he beats Vitali, he has to face Wlad, again.

Just how all of this can be taken care of before likkle Davids bwithday pawty is beyond me.

It's a big enough test to face wlad, but possibly to beat him then face his brother vitali and beat him, quite a mountain to climb and achieve.

Fuck haye tho , i've had enough of his ''intentions'' and bollocks on ''i'll fight wladimir''. It's all about chisora now.

You're obviously being duped into an American conspiracy. If only Derrick Jefferson hadn't retired from boxing to play doubles volleyball.

Interestingly- Jefferson was a former budding basketballer. Then he got shot in the leg, and now minus his vaunted athleticism, he was forced into the sport of boxing, where he......proved to be average, at best. Dangerous, and massive, but average.

Now, on the original point, Klitschko had no business signing for Adamek before he had accounted for Chisora, and Mannys job is to train and guide fighters. PR and management are not his forte. His in-fight instructions are sometimes quite incongruous with his remit- which is to safely negotiate the obstacle in question, rather than negotiating it with any great flair.

He's just trying to hype Chisora up as a legit challenger.

Steward made Wlad aware of when Ali fought Norton and lost, to make wlad very aware of a possible threat from chisora and to train harder.

Read nothing but the head-line. This is bull-shit from Steward to sell the fight. Fuck him. Fuck boxing. Fuck 'em.

Show me a sport where the belt changes at least once a year. Then and only then can the promoters have sold the sport and not a fighter.

He's trying to sell the fight. Chisora is a decent fighter but style wise he's a sacrificial lamb, like Kevin Johnson was for Vitali. Except Chisora's gonna get brutally KOd.

I don't think chisora will get "brutally KO'd."
He'll either lose with the ref intervening or lose heavily on points imo.

Nice. Never heard that one before. Sounds like Robert Burns describing the effects of paracetamol with cider.

Wlad may indeed struggle with chisora's constant energy and head movement, but at the same time if chisora does throw flurries of punches and aim to get wlad out of there, he may get exhausted and wlad takes over dominating rounds with chisora holding on. Chisora tho, may try to throw his punches in a more measured way, but getting on the inside vs wlad and achieve this is easier said than done.

Steve_dave, do you see a one-sided beatdown of chisora occurring?

I don't see a high energy, come forward guy, tbh. I see a pretty slow footed, low output, reactive guy who's who operates on the outside, looking for openings to move in & exploit. I see Wlad fodder.

So you agree that Steward's comments about Chisora being a threat are just him hyping the fight up?

Chisora's best chance to beat wlad would be to KO him early, if he has the raw power some people believe he has.
