Winning in Japan and using is one thing. But beating freaking Randy Couture and getting popped is a different animal. That should be a HUGE win on Barnett's resume. But it is NOT due to roids. I watched the majority of them as they happened. But regardless, nothing happens in a bubble. These fights and the guys he fought have to be looked at objectively in terms of what they eventually became. A win over Herring was and still is a decent accomplishment. While a TKO loss to Randleman was pretty sobering then and looks even worse now. That's just the way it. Rocky Marciano was absolutely the shit during the early-mid 50's. He was a god. Yet that doesn't stop people from looking back now and really putting his wins and reign in perspective.

Lol at TLC and Tplsec pumping up Rich Franklin just to make Anderson Silva's resume look better than it really is .Franklin was an average fighter in a below average division,so of course he's going to be champion and the division was the same when Anderson Silva stepped in it.Anderson Silva is a great fighter but people are getting caught up in the UFC commercials.Silva has been dominant in a weak division period.

Again, I've never said the MW division is deep or strong. All I said is going 5 years and 13 fights without losing in the UFC is a huge accomplishment. This has nothing to do with the UFC promotion or commercials. It's just a solid run for Silva. Period.
The thing I don't get is that this whole debate is Silva vs Fedor. The UFC MW division isn't the best, but seriously, beating Pride HW's like Goodridge, Randleman and Coleman is supposed to be better?

It is impossible to imagine stepping into an MMA fight 31 times over 9 years and never legitimately losing. I don't care if your fighting Butterbean, you're bound to lost 1 out of 31, right? And we can slam the caliber of talent on anyone's resume, but the middle of the road guys like Randleman, Coleman, etc all had success against others and were extremely talented in their own discipline. Yet they all failed against Fedor. For me, the 2004 Pride Grand Prix was the greatest multi fight display of MMA combat in history. To beat wrestlers like Coleman and Randleman, a serious judo master and then to throw Nog around in the postponed final was heads and shoulders above anything done by other fighters.
