I admit these midgets have been impressive lately. That is because bantams these days look like lightweights of the past. Flyweights are still unbearable

WTF? In the realm of attractive women, they are both very average. Is that the point?

A better analogy would be asking to choose between Latitia Casta and Audrey Tautou.

Seeing as Pacquiao arguably has more success than anyone in boxing history, that's a rather tall order.

And a rather silly thing to suggest when you consider that at 28 years old, Pacquiao already had KO wins over MAB and Morales, and had bascally dominated from flyweight to 130lbs.

I'd be WAY more excited about Donaire and his future if he was four or five years younger.

Trust me, I realize this. Pac is my favorite fighter...ever. However, I do think that Nonito has better skills and still has 5 years to accomplish a lot in the sport. Sure it is a tall order, but I also think that is is possible.

Donaire is the goods....thought that since the first time I saw him fight.

    What a great win.

There is nothing better than a knock down that leaves the opponent absolutely awake but completely unable to control his body to get up. For obvious reasons McCallum's KO of Curry is my favorite one. What others?

Well done Nonito. He looked like a man versus a boy.

I was struck by the size difference. So, apparently, was Montiel.

Yeah, I've seen Montiel fight before but I don't think he's ever look SO small.

Totally. Let's not forget Pacquiao is only 3 years older or so than Nonito. His accomplishments are absurd.

I think Donaire is the second best fighter in the world, but he won't come close to accomplishing what Pacquiao has accomplished.

Let's not go overboard Newbraski. Donaire has incredible speed and power, good skills, but he seems MUCH bigger than the fighters he is fighting, and no he is not as skilled as Pacquiao, nor is his stamina as good, and we'll have to wait and see if he has Pacquiao's chin and fighting spirit.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is the clear #2 in the sport, better than Martinez, but thinking he'll accomplish more than Manny and saying he's more skilled is frankly insulting to Pacquiao.

The way Montiel went down and then got back up and fell down again looked a little similar to Zab Judah.

Give him time. Hopefully when he reaches where Floyd is at the moment, he doesnt have to rely on fighting shot fighters and avoiding the real threats like the plague. :scared2:

Not even close? Would the 5th best be close?

Donaire is clearly one of the best five fighters in boxing right now.

Great win for Nonito. I want to see him fight the winner of Mares/Agbeko before moving up to 122 and facing VAzquez Jr.

126 is too far right now. He should forget about Juanma for now.

as far as where Donaire ranks right now I do think some are overrating him.

I could care less about pfp lists. but before the MOntiel fight I never heard him being a top 5 guy and now he is with Pacquiao and Mayweather?

Those guys went through 5 divisions each to earn that spot.

Donaire hasn't had a win this big since the Darchynian fight. Not his fault but still people are getting ahead of themselves a bit.
