i'm most impressed by the numbers in attendance. not much by the talent of ginger alvarez.

matt hatton seems to take punches better than his brother. that or perhaps alvarez isn't much of a hitter.

Of this I am sure: Mathew Hatton would not had lasted more than six rounds against Cotto. Alvarez is good, but still not in the league of Cotto, Pacquiao, Margarito.

I think Alvarez will get blasted as soon as he steppe up. Walks right into punches and has bad footwork.

Who will he get blasted by?

154 is a weak division he could be undisputed.

I agree. He's not in the level of the fighters you mentioned. Let's not forget Jose Miguel Cotto had Alvarez badly hurt when they fought @147.

Matthew Hatton has improved considerably over the past few years, but still....I thought Alvarez would have had enough tools to break the chap down. I only picked a W12 for Alvarez to cover my bets, so to speak. Also this 150lb thing is annoying me.

Judah fought in what looked like a hastily retro-fitted barn.

I have never seens such shite masquerading as an evening of world-class fighting.

One guy, Vinny O'Brien, won an injury-induced TKO over some other scrub. O'Brien looked, all night, like an undersized door-man trying to throw out a talentless but determined customer who just refused to leave the premises.

    Awful shit.

    Cotto would punish Canelo....

    Angulo would brutalize him...

Both guys fighting next week would also dominate him.....

Kirkland don't know how he looks, but if the prison time hasn't hurt him he would also KO Canelo...

Canelo has decent speed and very good combination punching...but his defense is SHIT...and NOT because HBO commentator kept mentioning it..but he doesn't move his HEAD at ALL...

Canelo would fuck up Angulo and Kirkland. He would give Cotto a good fight.

No fucking way. Alvarez is nothing.

Kirkland would give him a beating, no question, I would also pick Angulo over him.

Seriously, is ILLU right? Are you trying to bolster Floyd's legacy because you don't want to believe Baldomir could be KO'd by someone so average?

His speed is average, he has decent combination punching, his power is average, he has no real footwork or head movement. There's nothing particularly good about him at all.

Last night proved that Canelo isnt even the most talented 20-21 yr old prospect in the sport.

David Lemeuix has a much brighter future.... watch.

And I'd also be surprised if the ginger lasted any longer than 3 rounds against Lemeuix.

I'm not even particularly high on Dave, but I agree with you, he'd beat the fuck out of the ginger wonder boy.
