Love both movies... But I vote that Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels is a superior movie.

    Thoughts?

Snatch IMO. Brad Pitt and Stathem were both Excellent. Boris the blade, Brick Top, Bullet Tooth Tony, Benecio Del Toro. I mean the whole thing was just great.

It's been a long time since I've watched either, but i think Snatch left the bigger impression. The fighting scenes with Pitt were pretty great.

Vinnie Jones was really good in Lock, Stock. Is this the same movie where the two black guys try to pull off a heist with fake guns and then Vinnie Jones pulls out his real gun and they do a kind of slow-mo where they show the dessert eagle letters on his handgun or was that another movie?

I get the two confused; that was Snatch with Vinnie Jones and the dessert eagle scene. I had also forgotten all about Benicio Del Toro being in it.

    Definitely Snatch over Lock, Stock

I think it all depends on which one you saw first. I saw "Snatch" first so I like that one the best.

    Still like Lock, Stock though.

Similar movies but you can see the evolution of Guy Ritchie from one movie to the next. "Snatch" is a bit slicker and more fully realized then the earlier film.

Then he met Madonna.......and it all went to hell for awhile.

I think that is a great point. One of my best friends and I argue over which movie is better and the main difference we have concluded is that I saw Lock, Stock first and he saw Snatch first.

I always think of Snatch as a less slick version of Lock Stock, funnily enough. almost everything that was done in snatch was already done in Lock Stock, yet it was more original the first time around... and imo a much better ending.

I only watched Lock Stock once opposed to Snatch which I watched 2-3 times but I do recall really liking Lock Stock and same goes for Snatch. I would have to watch Lock Stock again to compare the two but as it stands right now it's a tie. love them both .

Agreed, and unlike The Genius I don't think I could sit through it again. Don't even see where the argument is here, the characters in Snatch were all just about perfect. Every prime roll was filled with great characters even down to the fat black English guy, who was pretty funny.

Can't believe there is only one person that agrees with me here! I am actually rather disappointed.

OK so it's not as terrible as I remembered but it simply isn't very good.

No more than 5 out of 10 for me and I think I might be being too kind.
