It's too bad he couldn't make weight or negotiate a catchweight for the 3rd Corrales fight, both would have made over a million for it.

Corrales' camp didn't think he could make the weight without killing himself to do it, that's why they wanted it there.

Castillo had two really close fights with Mayweather and arguably won one. Pacquiao should call out JL, and dominate him. That would prove undoubtedly he could also beat Floyd.

It's quite mad to think how close this guy came to beating Mayweather (perhaps DID beat him), and seeing how their careers panned out since

Castillo's career panned out pretty well after the mw fights, he had a great run at lightweight...his decline was pretty quick though, it was obvious he was quite done after watching the ngoudjo fight

Please. Corrales said that they could have negotiated a catchweight instead of cancelling the fight.

Yeah, guys with that style aren't usually known for their longevity, are they. His rapid decline was pretty standard fare, really.

I think he was an excellent champion, I wouldn't object to him making the HOF.

corrales team insisted the fight be at lightweight all throughout the lead up to the fight.

He's better than a good 25% of the guys already in there... he's well above whatever standard, or lack thereof, there is for the IBHOF
