What a sad moment...seeing Ali in his corner, retired and beaten up...

It's interesting, Ali was popping pills to get his weight down because he had bloated to over 250 in retirement... when he weighed in at 217, a lot of sportswriters got excited (sentimentality outweighing sense) and enthusiastically picked him to win

"All I could think of after the first round was 'I've still got 14 more to go!'"

No one (not even the likes of Hopkins, or Foreman) can beat Father Time. Ali was no exception.

You can beat beat him once or twice, the problem is he's got an indefinite number rematch clauses.

Ali was suffering from a hyperthyroid condition that night. It could have been fatal.

Ali has no one to blame but his damn ego. He should have retired long before he did.

I think Ali was green in this fight

by "green" i mean from the standpoint that he was green in fights where he was overweight, old and slower..
