Is that in reference to the Jones fight? I still have to watch the fight but I'm quite shocked that 'anyone' could be so dominant against an able Shogun
Yeah his knees were messed up. He had Knee Braces and everything. Check out "The Rock Bottom" administered by Jones in my sig.
It was actually that gif that made me realise Shogun had no chance. As early as it was in the first round, Shogun just seemed so feeble compared to Jones.
That is because Shogun ate a huge flying knee just seconds into the fight and by his own admission he was out of it and never recovered.
The way Jones man handles Shogun in your sig go me thinking, he wasn't right. Take nothing away from Jones that guy is a talented fighter. I guess this is typical Rua form in the last few years??
if you watch the fight again, after that knee, Rua was not the same. Kudos to Shogun for saying it. That knee really changed the fight.
Didn't realize the knee landed that cleanly. Great GIF. I take back what I said. It looks like a knee did contribute to Rua looking so bad.
I guess I explained that wrong, what I was trying to say and completely whiffed on is that everyone wants to say Rua looked bad and lethargic. He looked old and its obvious the rehab was the reason, etc. etc. I'm saying anyone that takes a knee like that to the face is going to look bad after it.
In real time during the actual fight it didn't looks like it landed flush, but the gif says different. You can see Shoguns head snap back in the gif. Especially in the angle that shows shoguns back.
