“I’ve seen how easy it is to beat Vitali,†said Odlanier Solis, in an interview with the Passauer Neuen Presse. “If the injury didn’t occur, I would have taken him apart. He is a boxing zero. I was surprised how weak he is.†Solis said the fight with Klitschko changed his perspective on boxing. “I used to only see boxing as a job. That’s changed. Now I have a dream, a goal for which I’m working. I want to become world champion and stay there a long, long time.†Funny shit there. You had your chance to show it dumbass. hno:
The pity of it is that the morons in the press will pick up on it and parlay it into some more "HW Division Farce" nonsense. Solis did have a good round but he showed an inability to deal with power. Game over.
You guys just don't get it. He simply is lobbying for a rematch. It's a business, it's his job his source of income, his way of putting big macs on the table. What do you want him to say ? I got hurt by a glancing blow there is no need for a rematch ? Obviously since he had a good round and hurt his knee he will try and get a rematch and another pay day. I can't blame him. I would do the same just like any other human being with a brain would. He's still a fat idiot and I don't care for him one bit but I agree with his approach.
does solis claim to have injured his leg prior to the knockdown? because it looked to me that he was decked by a right hand to the temple and hurt his leg in the fall. rotten luck about the knee, but he was still decked by a punch to the temple. i won't call it glancing, but Vitali can land punches ten times harder than that one.
Solis is trying to anger Vitali into taking a rematch. Solis needs to concentrate on not being a fat ass.
That's one of the greatest amateur boxers ever you're speaking about, so show some respect. A veritable genius who knew that the secret to getting a shot at the hw title is to have a nondescript professional career.
Actually, it's not. It used to be. He's a changed man. Didn't you read the entire "I have a dream" quote?
If Vitaly is a ZERO...then Solis should have no problem fighting him for minimum wage or even better for ZERO dollars/euros/peso/pound/dinar/shilling/franc/baht/rupee/yen/koruna...
This always reminds me of an old Gil Clancy quote, in response to any of his fighters who have demanded a rematch after a loss. Fighter: "I want him again." Clancy: "Well, you just had him." The only positive that came from the fight was that Solis showed he has the tools to discourage Vitali. The next step is to show that he can do it for longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
seriously question - i haven't looked into it or read thru the previous threads - is Solis claiming that he injured his leg and that is why he was knocked down? Or did he injure the leg from the fall?
