Name a boxer as little talented as you can that would be a legend if fought in that time period. Key being try and pick one that's not that talented. A prime Mike Tyson would be a tad too easy.
I'm not sure, but David Tua is fat. I suppose it's possible he could get decisioned on an off night against somebody tough.
Albert Sosnowski - He'd be considered tecnical standout by Ramonza, far ahead of his time, who due to his punching power and extreme toughness would hold his own vs. the champs of today.
 True that. Reading the headline of "Putting 1900-1930s into perspective" is closest to a sexual experience I have had in ages
Not too many guys could take Jack "Napolean of the Ring" McCaullif. McAuliffe, who fought out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York, was one of the best lightweights ever; He was a wonderful two-handed fighter who depended upon straight blows, a left-right being his best combination; He was also very quick on his feet; Nat Fleischer ranked him as the #5 All-Time Lightweight in his early ratings.
I dont think its a very accurate thread title A more appropriate measure would be 1900-1920 the difference between 1925 and 1915 is astronomical anyone who cant see that is a fucking idiot
Pac would absolutely destroy any fighter he faced from the early 20th century. This is supposed to be about less talented fighters, though. I'd say we should add a "no heavyweights" qualifier.
To be honest, while the subject matter has a fair deal of promise, the facetiousness which was sure to follow (& has) snuffs out any real interest for me.
You only have yourself to blame. Sure, there is some time wasting nonsense going on here, but anybody who argues that Galento knocking Louis on his ass was proof of how good Galento was and not proof of how vulnerable Louis was......... is going to attract that facetiousness.
Uh-huh. I notice you attract quite a bit of facetiousness yourself, Irish. Apparently, it isn't you to blame there, but rather bitter, nationalistic Americans.
AgREED. Listen to Maximillian Kellerman lay down the law on this from 02:30 on. Apparently, Wladimir never tried to "go on" when he was floored. Note also how Lewis points out that he would NEVER take a fight on 16 days notice. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hoUgDz-wduE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Kellerman is a fucking joke. What he was TRYING to say was The only difference between Lewis and Wlad is Lewis's dick is black and Wlad's is white and Max likes the taste of black dicks.
