I disagree, I've seen GSP in person, he got some weird big buffy roid face and a thick unnatural body. To me, it's obvious he's on something.
Nah, it proves that K-1 does drug testing. And this guy's a nobody, I never even heard of his name, do you think every guy in a UFC card gets blood tested ??? Of course they don't
Name me some instances of failed drug tests then in K-1. Just because you read something posted on sherdog by someone proclaiming to be a K1 fighter deosnt mean it is true. Navigate Sherdog with caution.
Sherdog validated that he's a pro fighter, I'm not naive enough to believe any fool who claims so without proofs. And from what I heard, K-1 keeps the results to themselves and hand the punishement behind close door.
Just to make myself clear, I don't claim that k-1 drug testing policies are as good as the one imposed by the UFC ( via atletic state commission usualy ). It's just that in one case or another, it's easy to beat the test, just a little easier in one case.
GSP has always looked to have a pretty small face to me, nothing weird looking about it. Even recently, look. GSP doesn't look unnatural to me, just looks like he trains fucking hard and has a solid physique.
GSP has certainly transformed himself in a seemingly unnatural way. Obviously it's not going look the same as Overeem because St. Pierre has to stay able to make 170. Overeem was free to gain 40-50 pounds if he wanted. With GSP I am really torn over his possible usage for a couple of reasons. First, he's tested far more often than a guy like Overeem. Second, while GSP has gone through a size and strength transformation, he has always had the huge thighs and sculpted upper body. I don't know. I am not a testing expert but it seems like GSP would have a tough time avoiding getting popped for so long.
Maybe I just haven't really noticed, or haven't been paying attention, but GSP doesn't look dramatically different to when I first started watching him years ago. Like you said, he's always been pretty sculpted. Sure he looks more so now than ever, but that's to be expected. With Overeem, my mental image of Overeem is of a slender-ish built 200 pounder getting beaten up by guys like Rua. I was fucking shocked when I suddenly saw him looking like he does now, it seemed to be such a drastic change.
Obviously I have no idea if either of them are on steroids, to some extent it is innocent until proven guilty, BUT, let's be realistic, it looks pretty damn obvious with Reem, and not so obvious with Georgie boy.
I agree. I go back and forth with GSP. Sometimes I see the guy and I'm just certain. But then I look at older pictures and it's not so obvious. Overeem, on the other hand, makes Bonds' transformation almost unnoticeable.
That's an understatement, you can't get Reems physique the natural way. People who think he isn't juicing are just retarded. With GSP you can't tell by his looks, but I think most profesional athletes are on something, especially at that level.
Good point. It really is hard to tell in this sport how widespread it really is. I mean, If Dana wants it hidden, its going to remain hidden.
If the Athletic Commissions do the testing, how can the UFC hide it? I'm not saying it's not widespread, I just don't think it's the UFC covering it up.
Ive actually wondered about that for a while now. I really think that Dana is a very smart dude and wouldnt be suprised if he haad some tricks up his sleeve.
Well, money talks. And a top fighter getting popped would be bad for UFC business as well as some Athletic Commissions.
I know he's not here now, but the Kharitonov fight was heavily influenced by Kharitonov tearing his shoulder when he landed badly. Kharitonov zapped him in the rematch.
