AFAIK THG wasn't sublingual, it was oral. It was just 17-aa Tren, combined with Gestrinone, which was used as a progesterone antagonist (19-nor steroids like Tren & Deca can cause the growth of bitch tits via progesterone, as opposed to steroids like Testosterone, which cause the growth of bitch tits via aromatization to estrogen).

THG was NOT a testosterone analog, it would not replace testosterone and it would be a terrible idea to run THG without a testosterone base, even a small TRT one that would make your levels appear within the "high" range of normal (which iirc is what the "Creme" did).

Honestly it wouldn't be that difficult to have a set of tests that would detect any irregularities in the endocrine system; it would just be more expensive, and still defeatable via other, less scientific means (eg bribes, using pre-drawn blood, etc etc).

No matter what anyone tries to tell you, every single form of AAS is detectable one way or another. You cannot take a steroid without introducing irregularities into the endocrine system; that's the very mechanism by which they work.

 

I defer to your knowledge of THG. And I agree with your points, I am simply at the point of accepting that when you have as many minds trying to beat the system as you have building the system, you cannot win.

Although I don't know enough chemistry/pharmacology to back up any specific mechanism of function, I feel very confident in saying that if a test were devised which was a "catch-all" to detects any irregularities (such as higher levels of testosterone, higher red blood cell count, metabolites of such-and-such), someone would devise something that served the same purpose but broke down into metabolites that were not being looked for, or worked by some mechanism not yet widely known or understood. Or they would develop something which acted quickly enough to make it beneficial yet undetectable unless one was tested within an hour or two, etc., etc. Many of the existing doping tests (as I am sure you know) actually come up with false positives because often times the specific measures or substances they are looking for are actually naturally occurring as well to different degrees, or their level can be elevated by certain types of food consumption as opposed to drug use. Thus masking a PED by constructing in so that it essentially "looks like" what you would normally expect in an athlete once metabolized, but perhaps with small yet effective variations is also plausible.

Is that something you could agree with? I am not saying that any one steroid is "undetectable", but rather "practically undetectable" given the many possible compounds that could be synthed coupled with testing processes that can be self-defeating unless one knew specifically what to look for (exactly the case with THG).

I also agree 100% on the other side of the coin which is that people are people, and as long as people run the doping tests, there is always a way to circumvent or corrupt the process. They say that most successful high-security hacking exploits are not from brilliant hackers laboring to break some system - but rather from people on the inside divulging or carelessly exposing sensitive information (i.e. the disgruntled employee). So you may be able to escape detection through hiring a $100 prostitute to fuck an USADA employee as opposed to investing millions in new drug synthesis.

I would love to believe that some sort of "foolproof" test could be administered which would detect all external steroids introduced into an athlete's body, but after following the history of these PED's in athletics I don't believe it. I don't believe it is possible to root PED's out from athletics anymore, period.

There already is (sort of). When you supply foreign testosterone, just like anything else, your body begins to compensate by making less. In addition your body will try to keep estrogen levels up to balance out the higher testosterone. So you potentially end up with tiny balls and "bitch tits".

So by cycling the testosterone and taking anti-estrogen drugs like Nolvadex or similar, you can essentially avoid many or all undesired side effects.

The amount of shit some of these bodybuilders take at once would shock most people. Just find some steroid use forums and look at the regimens of drugs some guys take all the time, I have seen people list 6 or 7 different agents. It is mind blowing.
