April 1st would have been a better date, but I understand the TV people had no free slots, as Haye is giving his "Why I Can beat Wlad" lecture on that date.

Probably, but anything is possible with that amount of suckage in one ring.

Maybe Helenius is just planning on doing nothing but covering up for two rounds. At that point Fatuel Peter will fall over from exhaustion.

Believe me I hope so, but Sauerland wouldn't make this fight if Peter had trained. I guess Peter will show up at 290 lbs and that added to the fact that his punch is overrated and Helenius has a big right hand if little else I think Helenius stops him late

Probably. Helenius just doesn´t impress me. I think he´ll fall apart, when somebody puts the heat on.

But you are correct, especially since I haven´t read anything about this being a title eliminator. Usually such a step up is connected to a title shot. So they must be very certain.

According to Robert's father this was first supposed to be a title eliminator but Sauerland decided Helenius is not yet ready to tackle Wlad (oh really?) so they'll wait until 2012

Smart move, I thought that might be the reason.

I'd also have to believe that Peter isn't in a hurry to catch yet another beating from a Klitschko.

As if he doesn't already suck, his career is basically over once Haye loses to whichever Klitschko he faces.

Btw, could this be the year of the heavyweights?

We´ll have two soccer stadium fights between the four best heavyweights in front of a minimum of at least 50000 people each.

Decent action for a heavyweight fight. Peter landed some nice shots in round two. Helenius´ strategy is clear. They want to sit this out until Peter gets tired.

Peter very low checks whether Helenius has balls. His reaction suggests yes, but we can´t be sure.

4-2 Peter for trying to make a fight, not that I expect the official judges to agree with me.

Helenius knocked Peter out cold with a right left combo. Peter does a Rahman (Lewis) on the ground. That was a nice combo. Not bad.

Peter should retire now, its obvious his chin is completely cracked. How good is Helenius? Hard to say. I doubt he is the massive puncher this KO suggests.

    Thanks for the Vid Mitchell.

    Helenius seems fluid enough.

Helenius is a very big puncher, might be the second in the world right now behind Wlad (and possibly Haye). Otherwise he is not very good, but against slow, attacking guys he does well. Eddie Chambers would probably outbox him

He does seem more relaxed than Wlad did at the same stage of his career, but Wlad was faster and more varied.

That said, no matter what the era, a heavy handed guy with reach, height and a degree of composure will always have a chance.

Now all he needs to do is stop fighting Wlads left over and go to the USA.

True, Helenius is coming up nicely considering that it was only his 15th fight, but his footwork is still clumsy, he gets hit and he has no jab so there is work to be done.

Why the hell would any heavyweight travel to US now though? Anything remotedly meaningful is happening in Europe
