I think it's great that they're going this route...

I just hate that such practices are reserved only for events that are selling poorly.

 

Yeah, agree on both.

Golden Boy is trying some things, and it's great to see them do it, like putting together the chats, the interactive fight chats, rallys, showing live fights on the pay per view preview...it beats watching the Top Rank stream online.

But there's the obvious reason for it...this card isn't a huge sell and they know it.

That's the disconnect with G.

They're continually able to sign and bring in new boxing talent, they get the television deals, the sponsors, all that...but when it comes to putting on shows, there's just something lacking...and it's what happens inside the ring.

Maidana-Morales, Mosley-Mora, Marquez-Diaz II...these are some of their pay per view headliners.

Speaking of such practices, the main event will have the Golden Boy special...a vacant title...interim, even.

Katsidis is the man. Hope he wins Saturday night, never really been a fan of Guerrero.

 

Yeah, it's hard not to like Katsidis.
