Hamed has more than just a Puncher's chance in this one given how many times Juanma gets bounced up and down off that canvas (even barrera dropped him hard)...but you have to favour Marquez to rebound from an early couple of KDs to comprehensively outbox Hamed and win a clear UD.
Agreed! Juanma gets KTFO. He dosent have the defense to avoid any of Hamed's shots. This would be a brutal KO! Juanma will get carried out in a pine box.
Hamed would knock JuanMa into next week. Hamed would've never been competitive with JMM, considering MAB (an inferior fighter imo) stunk out the joint against Hamed and decisioned him. JMM might've knocked him out.
:: i hope this was meant as a joke. the idea that Hamed would've beaten a fighter that he himself didn't believe he could is ridiculous. i suppose it's possible hamed could win, in the same way that Berto could possibly beat an opponent who knows how to fight, even though he himself does not. but if you ask me, Hamed's shameless ducking of JMM, short of actually losing to him in the ring, is the best indicator there is of the outcome of this fight had it occurred - Hamed loses. And with the benefit of hind-sight, specifically Hamed's performance against Barrera, i think there is little doubt JMM would've picked Hamed apart.
What channel was JuanMa vs. Salido on? Was it PPV or what? I completely missed it, watching the HBO broadcast. BTW: If the topic were Hamed/JuanMa, and not Hamed/JMM, I still pick against Hamed. Hamed's resume is shit - he never proved shit in his whole career.
bunch of nonsense he annihlated Tom Johnston, decisioned Wayne McCullough (albeit unimpressively) and absolutely rocked Manuel Medina... that's three victories that shit all over JuanMa's career
stunk out the joint? It was a beautiful clinic, he beat Hamed down, completely took him apart with jabs and counter-shots stinking the joint out is Cory Spinks repeatedly walking a guy into punches to the face is fucking beautiful
Just a minute here...for those of you who have turned this into JMM vs Hamed, JMM has losses to Chris John and Freddie Norwood on his slate.
I won't even bother arguing this, I have no problem conceding that I am biased here (huge fan of both Hamed and Erik Morales). Styles make fights. And I guarantee I'm the biggest Hamed fan on this forum, as evidenced by my Barrera hatred that cdogg called out above.
Norwood beat JMM by fighting a cagey, mauling fight, interspersed with bits of boxing. Hamed did that to guys like Soto up in Detroit, I like his chances with JMM at 130. JMM's outstanding combination punching would not be in effect as Hamed was simply too awkward for that. Hamed was also physically very strong. I can see Hamed win more rounds, or win them better at least, than Marquez, and get a decision in a clinch filled fight where Hamed throws single, harder shots, and Marquez {who has been down A LOT in his career} just cannot get his combo punching off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdxJh7R51w4&feature=player_detailpage#t=282s
loadedgloves is a retard. Barrera put on a classic boxing and counterpunching display and made Hamed look like the amateurish, ugly little space monkey he is. As much as I loathe Hamed, he would bash Lopez. Lopez is nothing at world level, I can't stand the fact that he's been so hyped up. And Irish, :: at Hamed beating Marquez. He'd get fucking schooled, he wouldn't even win 1 round.
JMM would beat Hamed but i wouldn't say he wouldn't even win a round. It would be an awkward fight for a while until Marquez got into a comfort zone. I also think it's possible Naseem could floor JMM with hard shot coming from a weird angle. I don't think he could keep him down though.
