Shane's performance wouldn't have been as bad if Arce didn't win. Total contrasts in effort.

In his prime Mosley would have killed Pacquiao. Bayless was just trying to give brief illustrations of that.

I know that you're probably joking but...Prime Shane would have lost to Pacquiao also. Naturally it would have been a competitive fight and Shane would have his moments,, but ultimately Shane was never smart enough to have been able to solve the Pac riddle.

    I am.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao beat Mosley even in his prime.

    Simply better boxers.

All this performance does is assure the boxing world that Floyd will go NOWHERE near Pacquiao.

    The fight will NOT happen.

It proves Floyd and Manny would never have moved up in weight if Shane was around.

Prime Pacquiao beats prime Mosley. Just a better fighter.

But its a much more competitive fight.

Dog shit. Shane fought scared and Manny didn't look too great either.

*does another shot to forget the boring fight tonight*

This is the first fight I've watched in the last year, and it'll be the last. Today is the day I give up this farce of a sport forever, and I believe with good reason.

Why support a sport where the best fighters don't want to fight each other, and the 'best' fighters don't even attempt to win.

I'm tired of being made a fool when I try to defend it. It is actually indefendable.

Pacquiao is one of the few shining lights left in boxing, but he can't do it on his own.

I really, really, REALLY used to love boxing.

But the constant disappointment is not worth the incredibly sparce rewards.

There have actually been some good fights this year. You should blame yourself for watching a garbage fight on paper. Shane hadn't won a fight in over 2 years, did you not know this.

Maybe he does but he has some momentum and actually comes to fight. He won't be touching gloves every 5 second and avoiding a fight for 12 rounds.

Pac is too big for JMM now. That fight gets made above 140 and it's a farce.

Not that you would give MP any credit for taking it anyway.

Ill give him credit. JMM is a great fighter and he comes to fight. He believes he can beat Pac. He should have been in the ring with Pac last night.

Guess this where we differ. I think JMM is at too much of a size disadvantage now.

Do you think it would be a better fight than last nights fight.

I didn't see today's fight. I heard it was bad. I'm also unsure how good a showing JMM would put on against this Pac. He might get KO'd real early.

    Can't answer your question, sorry.

What difference would it make if it's made at 140 or 147? Both fighters would come into the ring weighing the same as they would otherwise. Pac will have an 8-10 lb advantage on fight night regardless.

Your last line is the reason I don't think it's worth making. MP takes and wins that fight and everyone will hang their hats on the weight being too significant for a fair contest. Yes I include myself in that statement.
