Yea that makes sense then. Thats probably why they were down here in Texas. Yea I was kind of disappointed with the eye candy at the water park that day(alot of out of shape females) and spotted her and was like wow.. She was chillin with Shane's son and 2 little kids. I didn't know who they were and once I was leaving the water park with my girl I see people out there taking pics with Shane and I saw her there with him. I went and spoke to him and took a pic with him.

Interesting perspective, but I see it quite differently.

It's easy (relatively speaking) to appear tough & brave when you are young, & you have your reflexes, speed, & power all at your disposal on a whim. When you're old & grey, like Mosley is, it's a lot tougher --- & you have to be tougher to be recognised as tough. Mosley did show that when clearly past his prime already against Cotto, granted --- but I don't think he's as hardened as you make out. He could've given more on Sunday if he was as battle-proven as you claim.

No one ever said he was the toughest fighter out there especially these days. All I'm saying is it's not fair to call a guy tough his whole career then try to change things at the end of his career when he's fighting arguably one of the best offensive fighters who ever lived. So I'm sorry I disagree that Shane's toughness was overrated. Is he tough now? Obviously not, but I'm not going to sit here and say he never was, or that his career needs reevaluation based on his last 3 fights.

No they shouldn't. If those people were dumb enough to pony up that kind of cash after already seeing Shane give a halfassed effort against a defensive guy like Floyd, why would they think he'd take it up a notch against a dangerous puncher like Pacquiao. Plus, it was totally evident in the Mora fight that Shane couldn't pull the trigger and even when he could he couldn't put anything on his shots. Hell, during the highlights I thought he looked winded hitting the speed bag.

I'm sorry but that's just not realistic. It sounds good on paper but if you honestly think a guy who is much older with faded reflexes, lowered punch resistance, stamina, and pop on his punches is going to be on the same toughness level as in his prime then you're being unfair. Also I'm not just saying this because it's Shane, I defended guys like Tszyu and Duran when they quit in fights late in their careers too.

I've watched Shane fight his whole career and seen nearly all his fights. The guy actually preferred a brawl over a boxing match. Obviously things changed after Forrest 1 but even later he still managed to become close to the old Shane as far as toughness and willingness to engage. Anyone who wants to question his toughness I suggest you watch the Cotto fight again and see how he kept trying even in the face of defeat.

I already gave you Cotto, you should give us all Pacquiao.

i've always been a fan of Shane but this IMO was too much..

    he just bitched out completely

that said, i do think even more than i did before that Floyd beats Pac and I don't think it's a "Hard fight" for Floyd

Pac doesn't know what to do when turned
Floyds defense is just way too good and as hard as Floyd was punching in the Shane fight, he could hurt Pac

Mosley's round by round power punch numbers from compubox.

    2/8
    0/12
    4/6
    3/7
    3/5
    2/7
    1/4
    5/8
    0/6
    1/5
    1/4
    0/8

    Total - 22/88, 28%. (1.8 of 6.6 average per round).

Obviously this takes NO account of which punches were actually thrown hard and with intent. I'd honestly guess less than 25% of these. Really pathetic.
