Experienced in what? Experienced in being able to recognize manipulation and grooming. Do I need to spoonfeed this to you?

At no point did I say any of that was normal behaviour. Now you're imagining things. I guess that's to be expected when it's coming from the same person who downloaded Adobe Illustrator, didn't understand how to use it, admitted he didn't understand it, and then used that lack of understanding to claim that Obama's birth certificate was fake. :dunno:

I read an article which stated in the book he and another kid were instructed to take a bath together while the guy watched. Then a couple years later the guy goes down on him.

Well, Mr. Social Worker, some people are abused over long periods of time and have conflicted feelings about it, but the shame and pain of it precludes them from trying to figure out what they should do. You obviously know nothing about it.

No, because you're naive enough to think that a teenager who has been groomed by someone they trust should be able to throw all that socialized behaviour right away. If that were the case, then manipulation would never work.

I can do you one better. I know the legislation as it applies in Canada. Reading legislation is part of what I do for a living.

 

And just because the person is 17 doesn't mean they have the maturity to be able to recognize and cast off grooming. That's why the law stipulates that the young person cannot be in the care of the person they are having a relationship with---coaches, teachers, guidance counselors---that type of thing.

The qualifier "several" isn't usually used to describe only a span of 2 years.

It'd make much more sense if he was 19 or 20. Especially considering the context, talking about the upcoming Olympic games.
