Roy is already pretty seriously brain damaged.

 

Damn that was brutal. Fucking Smoger. Roy is out on his feet and Labadaev looks at Smoger as if to say "Are you going to stop this or should I hit him again ? " and Smoger seemingly goes "I bet money on him beating Tarver in the rematch. Hit him again." and Labadev does. Poor Roy. That last shot was so unnecessary.

 

What were the scores going into the 10th?

 

Roy should not have a license to fight by this point

 

I know they're "in the moment" or whatever, but Lebedev probably could have not thrown that last punch.

 

Funny thing he hit Lebedev more often and hurt him more than Huck did... ::


Sportforen dudes gave him like 3-4 rounds through 9... That would have been an OK fight if not for that devastating 10th round. And he took some punishment before that, where I thought he'd get knocked out earlier... :(

 

The chickens are going to be raising Roy at this rate. Its upsetting, but you can't help a man who won't help himself. This is doing boxing no good. His opponents feel bad about it. Boxing is being damaged, we need some sort of an injunction against Roy, some sort of cooperation between global sanctioning bodies.

Russia, Australia, Europe, the UK, Ireland, should all agree not to sanction his fights.

 

If I were Roy Jones Trainer/Corner I would Have pulled out right after the Ko loss to Glen Johnson. If they really cared about Roy Jones they would not be in his corner encouraging him. Roy has already reported losing his balance due to Brain trauma caused by these devastating knockout losses. Someone needs to pull his licensed before RJ gets worst. He already has brain damage as it is.

Terribly sad moment. 10 years ago I would have NEVER, NEVER, NEVER expected such a bad ending for Roy.

It'd have been nice if Roy just retired after the Lacy fight. He looked almost like his vintage self in that fight, and it would have made for a good farewell fight.

But now.... this.... this..... is just TERRIBLE. :(

A sad, sad, sad sight. Ironically, I was just going over some pictures today of when Roy came here to Jacksonville and, along with myself and Bert Sugar, judged a charity event called Guns & Hoses. He only had the DQ loss to Montell Griffin then.

Just as ironic, I remember him always mentioning how he did not want to end up like Gerald McClellen. If he keeps this up, he'll not only end up like McClellen, Ali will be welcoming him, too!
