    Klitschko-Adamek Dresden Quotes
    Boente: Vitali-Adamek bigger than Wlad-Haye

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KOs) was again very complimentary toward former light heavyweight and cruiserweight champion, Tomasz Adamek (44-1, 28 KOs) during second press conference in Dresden, Germany to announce their September 10 bout in nearby Wroclaw, Poland.

“I’m giving him 50 percent chances to beat me,â€￾ said Klitschko. “It’s not about a great name, it’s about great skills. Adamek is strong, with unbelievable heart. He’s better than David Haye.â€￾

“The Klitschkos are the best of the best,â€￾ stated Adamek advisor Zyggi Rozalski. “They have the best trainers and the best team around them, but I’m confident, than coming September 10 in Wroclaw we will have the last smile on our faces. Previous fighters lost their fights against the Klitschko brothers before they ever happened. Look and Tomasz and you will see a fighter without a doubt that he will be victorious.â€￾

Klitschko manager Bernd Boente had an interesting thought explaining why, in his opinion, for HBO in America Adamek-Klitschko will be much more important than the July 2 unification battle between IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko and WBA titleholder David Haye. “Adamek versus Vitali is bigger than Haye versus Wladimir. Adamek fights quite often in the States, both Adamek and Vitali are a well known fighters there,â€￾ – explained Boente. “You have big Ukrainian and Polish communities in US and this is why this fight is more important for HBO than Haye bout in July.â€￾

Klitschko should win, though he is now nearly 40 and is clearly on the decline. Its unlikely Adamek is any better an athlete or fighter than Solis, but he stays in shape, is tough, and is game.

Vitali really should have too much for him.

Adamek doesn't have any advantages here other than being the younger guy. Vitali should stop him in the later rounds as per usual.

Adamek is a good mover and throws a lot of punches. Could he outwork Vitaly ?

No. He has to get close to "work" and he won't be able to often enough.

The #1 heavyweight fights the #4 heavyweight. Should be a good fight.

Yeah, Adamek is real worthy, beating up retired Michael grant but getting scared shitless in the process so he has to run and fight Vinnie Maddalone and Kevin McBride.

That's the makings of a Champions there.

Guy has one of the best resume's in boxing right now and has probably done more to earn a shot than David Haye.

    He's a 2 division world champion on a 6 fight winning streak and isn't fat. That'll do.

He's definitely more qualified that Haye. He won't win, but he's a respectable challenger. Can't really see how his last few would inspire much confidence though.

How is he more qualified than Haye? His best work was at Cruiserweight, as was Haye's. He is a former unified 200lb champion, as was Haye. The reality is that they are about as worthy as each other, which is to say not much.

That said, at least he is a live body and, as Hut says, he's not s useless, washed up fat bastard, so it shoud be interesting enough while it lasts.

how is he more qualified than Haye ??? Haye beat Mormeck, Valuev and Ruiz (who while on the tail end of his career, was still probably better than Arreola ), all 3 wins are better than any win Adamek had in his whole career.

Still, I like Adamek and think he will make it midly interesting vs Vitaly who will be troubled by his movement and ankwardness.

    Vitaly will win....

Adamek would have a much better chance vs. Wladimir..since he opens up more with his offense and their are chances for Ademak to land...

If only Povetkin would grow a pair this could end up a pretty good 12/18months for heavyweight match ups.
