Any idea who wins? Anyone care? Tarver is old and Green is close to 40, but it could be slightly interesting - double KO perhaps Tarver has this to say to me when I mentioned that Green had been mouthing off; AntonioTarver Antonio Tarver @Fightbeat they all got a plan until they get hit in the mouth... 29 May
Always despised Tarver for some reason. Just screamed douche to me. Would be good if Green could get rid of him.
A fun as that would be, in Australia, Green has been douching the joint up himself. Many would love to see Green get sparked out.
If Tarver takes the fight seriously he wins, and by KO I think, but so far on Showtime he hasn´t looked like he´s been training.
They should have this as a co-feaure of Zab-Kahn. (yeah i know it's not signed) Good chance of two douches getting knocked out. Win-Win-Win-Win
He's been doing it for years. The only difference between Green & Mundine (often pictured in the Australian media as the good & bad guys, respectively, of the sport for Australia) is that Green endeavours to endear himself to the average Aussie, & Mundine revels in being despised. Their actual career trajectories are similarly cynical (Mundine has been worse, but still), & this is just another effort from Green to sell a washed-up American with some glory distant in their rear-view mirror as a legit opponent to an Australian mainstream as familiar with Boxing as the Irish are with sobriety (had to tag you back, Mr. Irish). Needless to say, I don't watch false idols like Green & Mundine, when we have real heroes in the sport, however limited (Michael Katsidis), to be proud of.
Very true, especially from a North American's perspective. The aussie stereotypes are almost all from movies and TV. 'G'day mate', Fosters Lager, Crocodile Dundee and Steve Irwin. :giggle:
Oh no, there has been some new material recently. Irish is merely a sub-set of Australian. Irish guy goes on his holidays to Australia. Has a brilliant time. Goes back home. His friends ask him how it went. He says it was brilliant. Weather was brilliant. Food was brilliant. People were brilliant. But watch out for the white cunts :nono:
Like Ramonza said, he' s on the washed up old bum of the month tour rather than seeking the champs of the division. Every fight is hyped like he's fighting King Kong.
Shame he got his ribs roasted and beaten by little Markus Beyer. You know what they say, when you get beat by a bum....
Some reason? He's a complete cunt! Likes the sound of his own voice too much and he's simply not that good. Plus the cunt knocked out an innocent cameraman seconds after he knocked out Jones!!
Beyer wasn't really a "bum", in fact he would, in his prime, have done OK in the Super 6. Green was doing quite well, his right hands were bombs, and Beyer was going out. But Beyer hung in there and Green pulled a Golota. The Australians went mad and got in on the "Never fight in Germany" routine. Sure. <iframe width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/aWf2UV8YzSQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
How was he "very poor"???? He was a decent fighter, liked to mix it up more than he should have, but boxed very well out of the southpaw stance, had heart. Nobody is saying he is the 2nd coming of Jones at 168. But he was better than "very poor".
