Remember the second outing? Beyer was outboxing Green and punishing him to the body. That's when Green realised he sucked.
Loving the Green hatred,..artie: ,... "he aint gettin' paid I'm as angry as you are!" ...:wack: true blue.. But to be 'fair' Irish bastard,.. the first Green-Beyer fight was a horrendous rip off,.. I'll happily cry along with the mob on that occassion.
Green has been no less full of it throughout his career than his nemesis, Mundine --- he's just gone a different, more amicable route in selling his bullshit to the Australian public. His use of the NSW State of Origin team recently was a textbook example of what a fraud he is. Tarver is once again being sold as an icon & legend destined for history to an Australian public as well-versed with Boxing as they are with Puerto Rican culture. It's a sad state of affairs, & I hope Tarver stops him in his tracks.
Let's hope,.. this one's for you Ramone,... Green has just squealed his last 'curry' taunt on the beach,.. Tarver gun deal with him like Freddie Dawson!... :crafty:
******SPOILER WARNING****** Tarver fucked him up in 9 rounds where he had Green out on his feet. Green's corner threw in the towel.
:laugh11: hahahahahahahahaha Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....True blue working class hero can't enforce his capitalism on the redneck bogan trash any longer. If it helps the impressionable morons, they should know Danny never lost his world title,........:jaw: cause he never fucking had one in the first place!
is boxing not big in australia? i went to australia yahoo's sports section and they dont even have their own boxing page. that and there's no mention of green losing anywhere on the sports section. i figured this was a huge event over there.
for anyone who saw the fight, how did Tarver look? is it possible he could be a force now at 200 pounds? clearly, he's too small for heavyweight. but at 200? how bad is green i guess is what i'm asking. is his chin shit? does he have no speed and no skills? or does Tarver deserve some praise for this performance?
He beat Green's white arse red and raaaaaaaw!!!,... Danny Green Danny Green Danny Green!, das dey one das dey one das dey one,... I think he deserves credit, and if not he deserves appreciation that's for sure.
We've got, 20 registered pro-boxers,.. the most appauling cards you will ever see in your life,..and a commentary panel of thorough dickheads hyping up local 'prospects' who would die if they fought anyone in the top 200. :wack:
Not really...tarver beat a legend when the legend was still a legend. Green beat the shell of the legend which makes Green a faux legend. The fact tarver beat faux legend Green does not enhance his legacy. He did what he was supposed to do. In fact this hurts his legacy. He beat the legend in two rounds and it took him nine to beat the faux legend. Clear signs that Tarver has slipped.
Well there's a highlight video: <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yoxmQ11Lpk0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I thought Green would win this fight. Good win for Tarver, imo. Not sure if the $ at cruiser will justify him staying there, but he physically looks much better than he did at heavy. Tarver can do okay at heavy...he's sort of a Michael Moorer-type heavy right now. No big punch, good skillset, lefty stance. He's probably better suited for cruiser, but it's harder to dance around and make money at cruiser since the champions usually are tough fighters and you can't make money fighting miscellaneous names at cruiser like you can at heavy.
Tarver was hurt pretty bad at least once there. Green hits hard, he just isn't very good. He thought he was picking off another old world class guy, but he got what he deserved, an ass whooping.
It is very small. People in the States (where I spent many years living) & UK complain about the everyman knowing too little of Boxing, but thats nothing. To actually be a fight fan & watch people like Mundine & Green use journalists with no knowledge of the sport (& who are writers for a major sport, such as Rugby Union or Rugby League) to peddle ideas like the IBO belt is the world title, or fighting someone like Roy Jones in 2009 is taking on a legend in some David & Goliath contest is at best frustrating. Take it from me, guys like Mundine & Green never try their hand in the US for a reason other than not being good enough --- they simply could not make a dime anywhere people are remotely aware of how full of it they are. They essentially lie, through their teeth & in public arenas, simply because 99% of people have no idea of Boxing. Its a tiny, tiny sport. This fight surely devalues Roys legacy BTW, right?
