Watched the movie Grown Ups last night with the family on Netflix Instant Stream. This is the one with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Kevin James. Some very slow, stupid points in the movie, but some very funny scenes as well. I mostly wanted the boy to watch this to see the scene at the water park where the pool turns dark blue from Kevin James character pissing in it. I keep telling him that'll happen at our community pool in an effort to get him to not do it there and hopefully that scene reinforces that even if it isn't true. The one scene in the preview with Kevin James on the rope swing at the lake is probably the funniest scene in the movie. Steve Buscemi had a funny cameo (maybe a bit more than a cameo) in the movie too (field goal is good, can you get me something off of the top shelf) 4/10
It certainly wasn't an Oscar contender or anything, but it had its moments. It's hard to find good family movies these days. This one was okay for the family and wasn't that painful to sit through. David Spade is the worst though. I'd be content to never see him in a movie again.
