As much as I'd like to see a KO, I'm leaning towards Wlad by decision. My gut is telling me Haye shows up to survive, not win. Haye will try to get Wlad to walk into something. Wlad doesn't play into that and shuts him down at range.
I have hashed that out in my mind too, its a very likely scenario, but I think Wlad wants to stop this guy.
I think the scenario is very likely but Wlad is no Valuev. I think Klitschko will knock him out even if Haye tries to run.
You know, Haye seemed very very tired between rounds in the Valuev fight, especially the 11th and 12th rounds.
And he wasn't exactly letting it all hang out. Scenarios that wouldn't shock me are - Wlad early Haye early Wlad mid Wlad late Wlad decision
You are all sleeping on David. His trainer has devised a new plan and David is displaying a "Lust" for this new plan.
I'm too much of a pessimist to believe it will be a great fight but at the very least the amount of possibilites are intriguing.
I think Joe Calzaghe has been at the coke again......http://www.boxingfutures.com/news/0623-calzaghe-haye-can-throw-100-punches-round "I fuck him and he fucks him and then we reverse it" ‘I have been looking forward to this fight for years now, and it's just great to see David looking in such awesome shape. I have been lucky enough to see David prepare for his last few fights, and I don't think I've ever seen him look in shape like this.’ Calzaghe, who himself relied on his speed and work rate to see him through a 46-fight unbeaten career, went on to praise Haye for showing similar attributes but with heavyweight punching power. ‘The punch power he is showing on the pads is frightening, and everything is thrown with speed,’ added Calzaghe. ‘He's moving like a middleweight with heavyweight power at the moment, and that can only be a good thing. ‘He's very lean and mobile, too. It's extremely refreshing to see a heavyweight throwing seven and eight punch combinations and looking like they are able to throw 100 punches per round, if needed. David is well on course right now.’
I am expecting the fight could also get stopped early on a cut caused by a headclash. I wouldn't be surprised if Haye comes out, throws a lot of shots, tries to win a few early rounds, then lands a headbutt and waits for it to get stopped and sent to the cards.
Haye will need to get under wlad's right and land big shots to chin and body early to have any chance
He can only get under the right if the right is thrown. When Wlad stopped Ray Austin, he didn't throw any rights at all, IIRC.
Wlad early. He hates this guy and really wants to KO him. Haye will shit himself the moment he takes that first big jab and when that right hand lands, I don't see him surviving.
I really think once Wlad lands a clean jab, Haye is going to know he's in trouble. He'll be spooked by the power of Wlad's jab and will not want to find out what a flush right hand will do. He will get on his bike and start to tire and be ready to go by the 6th if not a bit earlier. Wlad by KO between the 4th and 7th.
Is anyone picking Haye? I know there have been some people saying he has a chance but is anyone actually picking him?
The fight will suck is my prediction. Can't wait to get this crap over with so i can watch Rios-Antillon and Williams-Lara the week after.
Why? Are Rios and Williams not allowed to fight until after Wlad and Haye have :: PS I think Williams vs Lara is an intriguing fight- thats one I will definitely be staying up late for.
