Mayweather returns against Victor Ortiz which I believe is a move that suggests he's interested in Pacquio finally. I see grey in Mayweather's beard nowadays and so I sense that he's planning on just two more fights, pac being the last one, hopefully early next year.

Otherwise I see no reason for him to return against Ortiz who is a true test with little reward.

The Pac-Marquez fight is intriguing to me also in that Marquez could be his Boogeyman. It'll also show how Pac deals with true counterpunchers nowadays.

There's still a glimmer of hope that this fight materializes. Don't give up fight fans! :partie:

The depressing thing is it'd inevitably be another frustrating low-action superfight that would ultimately satisfy nobody and continue boxings slide in public popularity.

I don't think so Hut. It wouldn't be a Hagler-Hearns war, naturally, but it would be an entertaining bout with a few good exchanges..but more importantly, with GREAT talents on display.

I think people think it would be a good fight, the betting odds will be close but in the end Floyd will beat him very very easily and stop him.

my mate was pbf and he destroyed my pac.

My heart says the fight won't happen, head says yes.

My heart says pac wins, but head pbf.

I don't think it will ever happen but if it did - I would definitely be in the Corner of Manny Pac.

The strange thing about that dream, not only did PBF destroy him early I actually remembered the dream when I woke...

The dream will constantly play on your mind then all day. That's what happens to me when I dream and remember it.

I would love to see pac win and see pbf all marked up and cut sitting in the corner, but I just have a feeling that if they were to meet, pbf picks off pac with relative ease and wins by wide decision.

I can never remember my dreams... strange..

It would be hard to argue against such result however time after time Manny turns up on fight night and proves everyone wrong. I just wanna see the fight..

It would be interesting to see how pbf deals with the angles in which pac throws his punches, how he reacts and the type of punches pbf throws back.

Would pbf constantly be on the backfoot with pac being the aggressor, or do both guys stay centre ring......

If PBF was to be successfully I think he would be on the back foot, staying out of trouble and catching manny on the way in. I just do not think he can avoid / stay out of trouble against the Pacman. Like you said, the angles in which pac throws his punches are unbelievable and very difficult to defend against..

Floyd will have tbe advantage in height and reach.

I think he could use this greatly to his advantage.

Pac may have to come up with a different game plan in order to be successful i feel

mayweather looked kinda old during that interview w/ kenny. btw, kenny is a good guy and i like him for the most part, but he's a biased prick when interviewing mayweather. you could sense his genuine dislike for the guy.

anyways, ortiz is a big strong dude riding w/ a lot of confidence lately. i think this is a dangerous fight for floyd and i wouldnt be shocked if we see an ortiz rematch next year or perhaps ortiz vs. pac instead.

You're right. Instead we should be clamoring for another Haye fight.

I still think ortiz gives floyd trouble early, but believe it's inevitable that floyd either stops ortiz late or wins wide

Kenny likes floyd...it's a faux Cosell-Ali thing they have going. You can bet come fight time floyd will be his normal self.

Ortiz can give floyd a few problems but he squares up too much and will be a sitting duck for floyd. The shot Berto put Ortiz down with were flukes because Berto's a dumb fighter.

Floyd lives for those counter right hands...Ortiz won't know what hit him.

I hope Ortiz knocks Floyd out, I'm sick of hoping he fights Pac. I'm over it. I pray to Chinnus Maximus that Ortiz knocks Floyd the fuck out.

Manny Pacquiao isn't the true King. He's "Scar". Simba has now returned from Exile to get back the title that is rightfully his.

"You see them (Manny points to Bob Arum and the entire country of the Philipines) they think I'm king"

"We we don't (The boxing fans, commentators and fighting peers that knows what's up), Mayweather is the rightful king!!"

"It's your choice Pacquiao, step down or FIGHT!!"

Personally, I think that Manny should drop the defamation suit against Mayweather if he signs a contract to fight him at 147, 50-50 Split and what ever testing the NSAC says they have to do. You know, a nornal deal.

Floyd wants it...he's calling it out. He says Manny is his next fight after Ortiz. Therefore there is renewed hope that it will materialize.
